You want admins to strictly adhere to the exact letter of the rules, get the fuck back to MuggleNet. You want them to follow the spirit behind the rules and occasionally snap into rigid adherence when it allows for epic lulz, stay here. It's that simple.

To everyone that took all this seriously instead of welcoming the opportunity to embrace the lulz, well, I'm still trying to decide between 'sucks to be you', 'cry the fuck moar' or 'BAAAAAAAWWWWWW' as a closing message to you.

I made my point, your only refutation is "when it's funny it's ok." If that's the way the mods prefer it, you won't see me crying up a storm. My point still remains that there's plenty of fiction in our library below standard and pointing out one when it's advantageous to you (whether for amusement or argument's sake) proves nothing. If I wanted the shitty standard of Mugglenet, I'd go there. I like the standard here. And if we're going to follow it rigidly then we should follow it rigidly.

While your picture is amusing, you do realize that applies to pretty much all of us, right? You point something out that I did wrong because I pointed something out, rinse and repeat.

My point's made, I'm all for dropping it. I don't care if this fic is in the bin as I'll still read it regardless of your opinion. I do care about putting other fics in the bin that actually deserve it. Look at that list and you'll find quite a few in there that do deserve binning.

My only refutation? Bitch please. That's my philosophy. And I'm far from the only one to hold it here.

It comes down to this: You got all wound up and collated a list of similar breaches of DLP policy. I enjoyed myself engaging in a little bit of forum dramaz. Darius, who I'd peg as the 'leader' of the pro-ASCAL brigade, was in it for the lulz, and to clash with his eternal foe, Sreekins. Syao was probably in it purely for shits and giggles, too. I can guarantee Trag was.

We enjoyed ourselves. You twisted yourself up into a ball of righteous fury and spurted nerd-rage all over the forums. See the difference?

I wasn't aware that you were "in it for the lulz" instead of just trying to prove someone wrong. I guess pointing something out is supposed to be funny, say like if someone is doing something wrong and acting in the right, as I supposedly was?

I'm just assuming here, but nerd-rage would involve my list, that if you properly researched, included a work by Sree, one that fell into the below 3.50 category. But I must've not put the authors on accident, right? I must've been trying to "unleash my rage" only, huh? Was 'refutation' just too large of a word so you slapped me into some nerd category? We're on a HP fanfiction website. Calling me a nerd's pretty pointless, no?

Sorry my subtlety was lost on you, I'll make sure to be as blunt as a head-on collision next time. Maybe you'll get it then.

Ooh, you can just feel his simmering rage, can't you? He just realized that pretty much everyone else in the thread but him was in on the fact that it's all good fun.

Lulz can be likened to a precious metal - let us call this lulzium. The differing between past and current opinions on the fic in question - how many can name it without glancing up at the topic? - creates prime conditions for lulzium to form. The process in which battle lines are drawn out and large amounts of flame unleashed harvests the delicious lulzium for all. If you ask Darius, he may very well agree that Sree trash-binning the fic the moment it dropped below 3.5 created a significant boost in the crop.

What part do you play in this, young... erm... Joshneide? Sorry, forgot your name for a moment. Well, you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs, can you? You were collateral damage. You thought this was a battleground instead of a lulzium vein. And even now you're still trying to point out that you were in the right, that you made a significant contribution, while all around you people are packing up their lulzium and heading home.

And, just to humour you, what was I doing (in your own words) "trying to prove you wrong"? Well, I'll admit, I didn't notice all this going on until rather late, and most of the flames had simmered down. But there you were, blundering in blindly, and I swooped in to selfishly claim some lulzium all for myself. Take some comfort in knowing you've proven a richer source than I could have dreamed of.

    Class dismissed. Now GTFO.

Lulz, right? You made fun of me because I haven't been a member for long, like you couldn't recall my name because I'm a nobody. On an internet forum. Lulz!

Let me put it bluntly, since you're still missing my entire point. I made my list because I found one of Sree's fics below the rating. I wanted him to take notice of that because I found it funny. The rest was bonus. Yes, I would like to see some of the shit I posted binned. Was that my entire point? No. But as the subtlety will now be lost on Sree, since I had to explain it in small words for you, we'll just say that was my point, that you were right, you received your "lulzium" and I've been thoroughly rebuked by a long-standing member whose dedication to this site, thus his notoriety, is undeniable. I'll make sure to post more useless posts so you can spell my forum name correctly. Is there anything else or can I "GTFO"? Thanks much.

...I agree that some of those stories listed should be binned. Some of them are pure shit and if I knew about them before, I'd of done it myself. I didn't know about them, though. I'm sure we've asked people here to tell us if there is something in the library to take a look at, but it seems members only decide to tell us about them when they get all butthurt over a story they like getting trashed so they can be smarmy little fuck-heads.

I focus most of my attention on For Review, so anything that was placed in the library before the For Review system was put in place or before I took over the section is probably there without my notice. I don't check the library sections that often because I really only follow the stories that are posted in 'Work by Author' these days.

If there is a story you'd like us to look at, tell us. Over the last year, I've gotten a total of three private messages telling me a story is out of place/rating is low/etc and one of those came in the last few days.

    Little help would be appreciated.
