Harry Potter vs. Forrest Gump the ping pong match for the ages.....

 

Updated. 'Twas a fairly good chapter, topping out at a massive 20K words. This chapter goes into more depth with the different relationships, and because of that, is unusually fluffy. Despite that, it had a few moments that made me laugh my ass off, and a few where (i'm ashamed to admit) I "awwed" like a fangirl. Definitely worth reading though, check it out people.

Though he messed up, because the code is combinaion, but in reality, it should be Combination, since he missed a letter.

I spent a few minutes figuring out the code with an online utility, when someone says it in a review.... *sigh*

 

People will not like this chapter. Personally as I always skip any corney bits in any story it was OK. It is a pity that Harry lost that swords duel, I would very much love to see Fleur give Harry a lap dance. A funny chapter though still not as good as some of his others.

 

Lol, there are many faults that could be found in this story, especially if you go out of your way looking for them, but in the end, it's stuff like this that keeps people coming back despite their bitching. With Black Comedy completed, this became the story to which updates I look forward the most.

Hat trick. This is probably true for a majority of the people on this forum. This story is pretty much the anti-'My Immortal' IMO, considering the amount of attention it gets and the huge levels of fail and herpes induced by the cliches.

At least there aren't any fucking katanas. Yet.

 

When I read the first few chapters, I wasn't particularly fond of this one. Now, though, I actually look forward to the updates and consider it one of those guilty little pleasures that you don't admit you actually have. Thanks to the last few chapters, I'll give this one a 4/5.

 

Despite all its flaws, I can't help but like this fic.

My favourite part in the newest chapter is how Harry sics Gabrielle on people he wants... let's say... 'out of the picture' for a while.

 

Okay, I've been reading through it and I admit it's better than I thought it would be. Despite the A/N's in the middle of sentances and the horrible cliches, it's quite a good read.

Has anbody invited him to DLP? We could introduce him to Potter Law and inspire him to end his wicked ways.

 

Yes, Archie's contingency planning with the testes plate was my favorite part of the chapter. Hopefully we'll be spared too much more of that variety of fluff, and thankfully neither Harry or Fleur seem like the fluff types of people.

All things considered it remains my guilty pleasure fic, as it is of many others here on the forum.

Did anyone else check out the picture of the dinner jacket that Harry was wearing in his profile? It is quite hot.

 

Its a fucking excellent jacket. I liked this chapter, there was some pretty lulzy moments, and I did enjoy reading the whole 'You're a slag!' scene.

 

At least katanas (like all other longsword-sized blades) are elegant weapons. Flamberges usually are ceremonial two-handed swords that are too cumbersome to use in actual combat. (Well... Actually their proper name is flambard or flammard, but everybody calls them flamberges. Technically speaking, flamberge is a type of rapier.)

Has the author said what kind of blade this 'Flambert' is? We can assume it's wave-bladed, but not much else.

 

It's meant to be a Flamberge - A Rapier. Harry is taking on much of a fencing style, thus he users a rapier.

Katanas may be 'elegant' but they have also become the symbol for the middle class white teenager who tries to adopt a culture that he has no right to simply because he thinks its cool. Chances are, the same guy faps to hentai while wearing a kimono and sandles.

Actually, is a kimono female only or what? I don't know that much about Japanese fashion.
