We've warned too many people before for no bothering to read the rules.

Some folks lately have gone EXTREME and have damned 500px in height picts, or have multiple ones that add up to over 600px!

Fix em, or we'll rip em out, or send you the bill poor Ravey pays for the server every month *shrug*

I'm not going to go after folks with stuff 200 or under, or any of the folks who've already asked permission to have a larger one, such as IRC regulars and various other alumn, but this stuff has to chill out some. I've looked through the pages lately, and seen 90% of the page be taken up with sig banners.

Text as well has gotten retarded out of hand. Cut it back. Now.

Edit taken down from being a sticky.

Just out of curiosity, how much does DLP cost a month?

They've been chewing up enough screen realestate lately that I've disabled sigs altogether on my DLP account. I might miss some artwork, but thread conversations are much clearer now without having to scroll past the same lengthy sigs I've seen repeated hundreds of times before.

Raven pays over 130$ a month out of his own pocket.

I myself wasn't aware of how nasty the cost was until literally a week or so ago. The donate button has been vastly ignored in the years it's been up there. I implore everyone to give it a nice look over when they can.

I think I'm in compliance, even though I have quiet a few. If not, just let me know and I'll take care of it.

They're all hosted off of DLP though, so it should only be taxing imageshack's servers.

General rule: If it extends the post height past what it normally is without a sig, i.e. the online now indicator/report post than it's probably too big :p

The bandwidth isn't a concern, even if the signatures were hosted on DLP's server. What does concern me is the amount of scrolling one has to do to get to each post with giant signatures repeated 3-4 times a thread. I'm behind Mid 100% in this, screen real estate is valuable. Fix them or we'll rip them out.

If you're not sure how yours stacks up, PM an admin and we'll evaluate it.

I get the scrolling thing completely, it occurs frequently on other forums without limits.

You end up doing what Yak, myself and others have and just disabling them offhand.

Lol Vash. You're staff and yours are often so awesome no one would ever bitch! Perfect Molly btw. Find a good Milf Charity.

But seriously, we need to relook at our limits for normal users, perhaps raise the limit to 150x in height, keep the width where it is now. I fail to see why anyone would need a sig bigger height wise then their avatar. The scrolling stuff is crazy, we shouldn't have to resort to adblock or other image blocking measures to be able to read the freaking forum.

Let some of the older folks have larger ones, some of the donators have em, but clamp down on everyone else.

Nah it's the same height as your avatar. Technically, you're breaking the posted rule, but I'll not mess or worry with anyone under 150px in height.
