Found some excellent fan videos of a Final Fantasy/Dead or Alive crossover. It's just the assembled girls of the various series kicking each others' asses, but the quality is absolutely fantastic. By far the best FF videos I've ever seen, and they're in HD too.

(Knowing my luck they're so old everyone has seen them, but what the hell)

Wow. This shit is awesome. It's taken forever to download, but it's amazing. Thanks for posting this! Has the maker(s) of these videos done anything else?

He also did Haloid, which is his best work IMO. Implied Samus/Fem-Spartan at the end, if that tickles your fancy.

I think that was posted here a few days/a week ago, though it may have been another forum. Still, Haloid was epic. He's very good with the fight scenes.

That was actually pretty epic. Really, those were awesome.

I haven't played either of those games though, are they worth picking up?

Final Fantasy is the best rpg series ever made. It's pretty much set the standard for the genre, so yeah, go pick one or two of them up. There's a lot of debate over which on is the best of the series, but I would suggest FFVII first, then FFX, then FFVIII. Buy them in numerical order if you can. FFIX is alright in my opinion, but most people seem to hate it. FFVII-IX are on the PS1, FFX-XII are on the PS2.

Dead or Alive is your typical fighting game, but with more boobs. Therefore it is epic. Go find the latest one if you have an XBox 360, if not there are the earlier ones on various consoles.

This was awesome, but I can't help but wonder what the hell Rinoa was doing with Squall's sword.

    I remember these. Crazy epic.

The faces were a bit off, but the choreography more than makes up for it.

Tifa jumping in instead of Paine was ingenious. I fell for it.

This (and Halo) are both on Youtube, by the way.

Not as good quality though. That's where I found them at first and they had links to the HD versions.

That, right there, wins the internet. But, how often do new parts come out?

I fell for the Tifa jumping in trick too. I was happily surprised. I liked her the most in the video. I wouldn't mind seeing him do this with the guys from FF and DOA.

If he doesn't put Aeris in the next one I will shit blood. (Sorry, fanboy in me.)

The first HD came out in 10/2007 and the second came out in 3/2008, so maybe next August/September?

To be honest, what exactly would Aeris do? She's not an offensive character in any sense of the word - she's pretty much the white mage of FFVII, or she is whenever I play it.

I quite liked Rinoa's part actually. It shows you just how strong a Sorceress is compared to everyone else, what with the tornado and launching huge blocks of building at people. The wings were just an added bonus.

Yes, but whatever you do, do not get Final Fantasy X-2. It sucked so much major donkey balls, it was unreal. And each game is set in its own world with its own unique plot and characters, so it doesn't really matter which order you play them in (although I definitely suggest you play VII first).
    EDIT: Nice find Aekiel.

He probably thinks it's too long, the random battles system is annoying and that overall, the story is just a clichéd pile of shit. I disagree with that statement, but whatever.

Also, is it just me, or does anyone else get driven nuts when people say Aeris and not Aerith? I know she's only called Aerith in the Jap version, but still...

No. She was introduced to everyone else as Aeris. Fuck Japan in their big weird ass.
