I totally and completely think that if the Dresden files fanfic verse takes off this is what the pairing will come to.

I couldn't help but make comparisons to the two while reading the books.

Both 'feisty'

Both get involved where they shouldn't

Both are stubborn to the point of getting in the way.

There are of course differences as well but in the hands of a shitty author I can see the similarities shining through.

Murphy is better then Ginny imo but still the worst character from the books and the worst pairing for Harry.

 

I still hold that stupid bitch or not, Murphy probably fucks like a tiger.

 

I always figured it would be some crony Harry/Susan that would equal the Harry/Ginny. The whole insurmountable odds things appeal to FanGirls. They stick to it like shit on velcro.

 

Except Susan is awesome.

 

Harry/Murphey could be like Harry/Ginny, but thefact for the Dresden Files is that the author can write the book while developing many characters. I think that the oddest pairing would be Harry/Molly (Dresden Files), the reactions of the other characters would be very interesting.

 

While I hate Murphy's character, I think comparing her to Ginny is a little harsh. First of Murphy is not some Mary Sue impersonation, she is a character that has flaws. Second, if Dresden does end up with Murphy (I hope not) it won't be bullshit like Dresden having some chest monster, they are both attracted to each other in some way, so it doesn't have any of the out of left field thing to it. Last, Murphy has actually been useful to Dresden, unlike Ginny who can cast the Bat Boogey Hex.

Harry/Charity FTW!

 

Hard to say. Many might go the direction of canon, that being Harry/Luccio but I do see the similarities. However, I don't really think it'll get bad as Harry/Ginny but we'll see I guess.

 

I always pictured them eventually sexin it up after the usual Dresdenverse climax/finale fight, and then having it be awkward between them after that. Which would kill all doubts about them being good for each other.

 

It won't be as bad.

I'd rather see Harry/Molly with her going dark and seducing him, and him winding up killing her to save his own head.

Murph I liked until Kincaid... the Hawaii thing made her out to be a slut.

 

Same, Hawaii Kincaid business made me go wtf.

Murphy was intolerable in the earlier books, but gets much kick-ass later.

 

See I liked her whole I like Harry but it just won't work thing. Then she turns into, I won't fuck Harry because he'd want something serious, so lemee go sleep with a demon. Just ruined a chunk of her character.

 

I think that was supposed to be Harry's 'chance' but it was just really badly done. That whole thing was stupid and completely unnecessary. I don't like how they humanized Kincaid so much in SF.

I wouldn't call Harry/Luccio a longterm deal though. I got the impression that it was more "fuck-friend" than girlfriend. Luccio is just getting used to this new, much younger body, and Harry is her test drive.

After rereading White Night where she talks about having to get used to sexual desires again, I do have to wonder what other sort of esily missed foreshadowing is Butcher using?

 

Except Susan is hawt and competent.
