I just watched the first episode on Adult Swim last night and I was majorly confused. It looks like a great anime though but what's with that girl? Who is she anyway? Why did she have that weird power in the first place?

Don't watch the dubbed. Just don't. I happened to catch part of the first episode, it basically degraded the greatness of what is Code Geass. I can't link to it online because it's been licensed in the US (which makes watching the FIRST season, not the second illegal and 'warez'.) and we have a no warez rule here. Just search for 'animefuel' in google if you want to watch it.

Anyway, those are things none of us know about at this point. Theres been some speculation in this thread, but as of now none of us can guess besides the fact that she's at the center of the plot.

    Check out the sub online.

scratch that, 04 is not subbed. Stupid site displayed it wrong :(. I'll edit with 04 when it gets up.

EDIT 2: Haha a group did sub it it already, speed sub so there are probably some mistakes, but it's watchable.

C.C. is an "immortal witch" (or so she's referred to as by Lelouch).

There's a little more to be said about her, but even in the second season, not much is known about her.

The Sub is up on TT. Chihiro's done. Though, I think it'l be an hour or two for the megaupload link.

I hate dial-up. I can't watch the subs on this shit.

Are there any good translations of the manga around?

There is no manga for the main story of Code Geass. The closest thing is the AU substory Nightmare of Nunnaly.

    ...Well, fuck.

But if it's as good as it's made out to be, I suppose bleeding from my ears every Saturday night is a reasonable price to pay.

Heres the MU link for those that don't want to torrent it.

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I46UIGXM

Just watched 04, it was absolutely brilliant.

    --------SPOILER ALERT FROM HERE-------

    Thoughts on the episode-

a-Loved how Lelouch was manipulating Rolo, saw it from a mile away, but still loved how he pulled it off.

b-Apparently geass has been in the world for a long time, at least 10+ years, we can reasonable assume longer than that. This is most likely how the emperor became an emperor to begin with.

c-Apparently the emperor took away gilfords princess. Anyone else see an alliance between him and Zero in the works?

d-Theres going to be trouble in the Dark knights, and I see a potential betrayal coming up.

    ------------END SPOILER ALERT-----------

    Anyone else have ideas?

"You'll see what this badass mother can do!"

Sometimes, just sometimes, dubs are worth watching for things like that.

Hn. Then I have been fooled by many, many titles of what I thought were manga scripts. Fucking jap liars... The only real spoiler I got would be fucking awesome if implemented though...

The dub of CG actually said that?

The MU Link sounds weird on my media player. I always have problems with .mkv anyway though. Does anyone know if there is there a media player that usually works well with .mkv files?

EDIT: I think everything is just slowed down to an extreme. The pictures are moving slowly and the voice is probably coming out weird because of it.

I just use media player classic to play .mkv files. VLC never gets the subs right, and WMP is just...nasty.

You may want to try the torrent file if the MU is off. The torrent is perfect.

I'm downloading the torrent, but it'll take forever. I'll try the .avi direct download from codegeassfan.

Good idea. The torrent was a little erratic for me. Now, to comment on the episode.

Dude, seeing Lelouch tip that entire group onto Chinese territory and the proceed to win completely and utterly was awesome as hell. And the fact that he's just going to use "Rollo" is awesome. The real Lelouch is back with a vengeance.

One note-Huh, didn't know we had spoiler tags here :). I'll use em from now on :D.

    Second note-

I loved Zero's little speech too. The whole "I'll choose to become evil to destroy evil" made my day, night, and next week.

Now I just gotta deal with the tension until next sunday. I feel like cartman waiting for the Wii.

They just showed an episode of this on Adult Swim last night - way cooler than I thought it'd be.

Lelouch finally does something pwnsome. Last episode bugged me (What, with the magical contact lens made by "That Cult" [Makers of Fine Mental Elevators since 520 B.C.] and Suzaku proving once again that he is an irredeemable character, and that no he did not crack under pressure, he just reflexively sells out to Britannia.) but this episode was up to my expectations. Last season they had the huge filler episodes where nothing really happened before "LOL GENOCIDE11!!11!", this season they seem to enjoy alternating between crap and quality episodes. I just hope theres not a whole bunch of "Zero, you deserted us!" "No, Zero is the savior of Japan, STFU!" angst next episode

I'm somewhat sad that Rollo's Geass doesn't stop time, merely stops everyone else's reactions. What, with the knifing in Episode 3, and Rollo's strange resemblance to Bokusatsu Tenshi Dio-chan, I kept waiting for Rollo to drop a truck on soem bitches. Oh well :(

Lol what? I know the scanslators are slow, but isn't the Lelouch of the Rebellion manga following the Season 1 canon? Or at least, the first few chapters I read did. I haven't bothered to read Suzaku of the Counterattack, so I have no idea if it ties into canon at all.

    BELIVE IT!

The Lelouch of the Rebellion manga follows the basic storyline, but there's a few differences, like in the first few chapters, where Lelouch (in partial Zero costume IIRC) helps Karen/Kallen escape some pursuers on the school grounds.

Suzaku of the Counterattack, IIRC, has Suzaku don a mask/helmet in the shape of the Lancelots' head. I've no idea what the manga is about, but when I saw that picture of him in 'Lancelot' mode, I'm pretty sure I thought, 'this fails'.
