I have not yet seen episode 13 because I decided to wait for the box set, like I did for 1 and 2, but from what I have seen I think they are going to extend it to four books and I am pretty sure the white lotus organization will play a major part in the whole ordeal seeing as how thats what they have been foreshadowing.

Chapters 14 and 15, also known as The Boiling Rock parts 1 and 2 are officially out! Just watched em. Fucking finally.

~The episode solidifies the whole Sokka-as-savant/genius thing
~The new character is... well... uneeded but whatever.
~Suki is a badass. One more powerful female to add to the list of Avatar femme fatales.
~Mai and Ty Lee are now officially good.
~Rocket!Azula was fail...

I only got the notice they were both out in an AN in a fanfic.

Avatar fanfiction... so... bad. At first, all I read was Zutara, because that seemed to be the only kind of fic with Zuko.

And then I realized that Zutara, at this point, is the equivalent to H/G. However, Mai is a terrible pairing for Zuko. I've read a few really great fics, and an incredible amount of crap.

ANYWAY, both parts are damn good. I wasn't disappointed at all. I just wish Zuko would get his broadswords back, and do some more Blue Spirit style acrobatics. And Sokka needs to go up against another swordsmen, as he can't STAB anyone (it's a kids show) and him swinging at air just blows.

 

It's not really on a fixed scheduele, which is incredibly fucking annoying. I watched the two new episodes the other day, and I have to say that overall, they were pretty tight. Could have done with some more action, but the rest of the plot elements kinda brought it all together. I like the light humor in the show, and I always get a chuckle or two out of it. All in all, two good episodes, but don't hope for any new ones for a while.

I thought the chapter were over all great. Sure jet-pack Azula was a bit weird... but Mai and Ty Lee kicked ass.

Jet Azula was OK. If Aang can run up wall's because of his airbending, then Azula can have jetpack fist's.

 

I didn't mind the blasting across the wire, it was the actual FLYING I found retarded.

 

Jet Azula was fucking hax. Pissed me off so damn much. Also, do you think Suki got bitten by a radioactive spider while she was imprisoned?

Really exactly what I was thinking, it looks more like Azula will really just use her new rocket ability to augment her jumping ability. But I guess it could have some uses against Aang to help her some of the advantages he gets from being able to fly/glide.

Really both of the episodes were very good, and they helped to really flesh out both Zuko and Sokka's characters more. Also it will be interesting to see what Azula is going to do after this episode as really it looks like this is going to be the start of the breakdown we saw in the trailer.

Jet Azula, while not implausible, ticked me off. Trailer however, was orgasmic. That fucking firery jet that Aang makes is probly going to be the Avada Kedavra of that universe, haha, which is why Fire is the best. Also, dunno if anyone else caught it, but it ends in July, for good, not August, with no fourth season.

 

There was an announcement some days back, wherein it was confirmed that the series would conclude in July.
