Fosfor updated a snippet of the next chapter of Art of the Deal on TFF not long back. Though when I say 'snippet' I mean a several thousand words worth for only part of the chapter. Say what you will, he writes fucking long chapters.

Entirely too many time travel fics, whatever the fandom, are people venting on how they would have handled events if they were the character, just pure lip service to a ship that got shafted, a character that they liked that died, or other retarded stuff. Like the two truly good time travel fics in Naruto fandom, Fuinjutsu and Tragedy of Repetition, this is inadvertent.

Initially, Naruto believes the whole thing is a elaborate genjutsu, not something he did as part of a master plan to go back and save his true love or some shit about emo!sasuke. Character progression is pretty good, and the author doesn't seem to be afraid to maim/kill off (hasn't done the latter yet) main canon characters, and isn't afraid to deviate from the typical storyline.

The biggest selling point to me was that Naruto wasn't godly right off the bat, despite ~20years of experience: he was royally fucked up because he wasn't used to his limbs not being the right size, not to mention out of shape and undernourished. Things that needed conditioning had to be slowly rebuilt, and his memory of past events wasn't perfect; he barely remembered most of his early genin experiences, much like one might look back on a childhood and remember a few details about major things, but virtually none of the little stuff.

Yeah, long point, but the author seems to have a good storyline fleshed out so far, and very little sappy romance - always a plus, as gore>>badly written romance. Naruto is a human character, so beware that there is a bit of agnst at the beginning, but it's tasteful and not overdone.

Well worth the time if you enjoyed Tragedy or Fuinjutsu, but didn't like the sappiness of For the Love of my Friends.

God I really hope that he is going to cut clumsy!naruto soon because it really piss me off. I understand that he want to make it somewhat realistic but this is just so fucking annoying. I would have understand making him fail at taijustu but making him trip every dam second and fall in garbage is just stupid.

This story certainly have potential but there is juste so much thing that I found annoying and unnecessary. So please tell me that it 's gonna change soon.

Edit: Well I'll definitely not read this story further. I don't belive Naruto can be more pathetic than that. The milk cow mission was just too much for me...

 

Did you actually read the whole thing? I haven't really noticed a single "accident" in the last 3-4 chapters.

It changes. The cow thing was a bit of a joke. It gets much, much better.

 

Exceedingly better. I myself was getting throughly annoyed with the "fool/clumsy!Naruto" but the author eliminates that, and the story gets better in the later chapters.

By the way, you made the edit that said that you weren't going to read it farther 10 minutes after I made that post...

It is, If I can ignore the Naru/Hina shipping it has to be good. Not even Viridian's story can say that.

 

I'm fucking tired of Naruto pairings. Seriously... they're fucking twelve. Any non-timeskip story with romance just irks me. I can't stand Naru/Saku or Naru/Hina fics anymore. The (young) females in Naruto suck and are in serious need of an upgrade. And not a corny as shit upgrade, where they can suddenly match the much harder working, and genetically superior male leads -_-;;.
