    Title: Ne Fiat Lux
    Author: Silver Pard
    Rating: Adult. (Really adult.)
    Genre: Angst/Horror
    DLP: Dark Arts
    Pairing: None
    Words: 3,508
    Published: February 27, 2007

    Status: One-shot, complete

Summary: AU: In a world where the beginning was different, Harry rants on why he's turned out the way he has.

    Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3415671/1/Ne_Fiat_Lux

The A/N says, "Heavily influenced by Unsung Hero by MeghanReviews."

What if the overlooked twin of the Boy Who Isn't Really The One Who Lived grew up without Dumbledore conditioning him to compulsive self-sacrifice?

The format is different, but once I got used to it, this ficlet really worked for me. I could *see* AD's expressions, feel Harry's emotions, hear what was happening downstairs. Originally published Feb'07, so it might already have been sponsored to the Library, but I couldn't find it any of my searches. I've read it several times over the last few months, and I always find some detail that is new ... and chilling.

That was full of win. I can just imagine Harry calmly walking away to deal with his brother, while Dumbledore stares at him in horror...:p
The format was unusual, but that changes nothing.
    Good stuff.

It took a little bit to get used to the format, but once I did... wow. Real nice find Banner. 4.5/5.

Well that was...unique. The formating fit the story perfectly, and it was certainly a excellent story. One of the better one-shots I've ever read, if not the best. 4.8/5

... It was great. I can't believe I didn't notice that one. But then again it wasn't on any of the twin-who-lived C2's I have seen.

    It's great and all but...

Did he call him Dumblemort?!? Surely I'm mistaken.

    Still, not bad at all.

Sweet. I don't know how you found this, but this fits perfectly with the details of the Unsung Hero universe.

    Good job. 4.9/5.

    I'm blown away.

This is neck-and-neck with Bungle. It makes Unsung Hero seem like :stained. 5/5 -- whoops, forgot to rate it, too late.

    Wow...

I laughed a little at his description of Voldemort, and the rest was great. I could see Dumbledore's expression and work out his words, and it was all just magnificent.

At last Banner, you have posted something worthy of the DLP library :p

Great 4/5 .Unsung hero is also brilliant, although the later chapters are getting a bit 'meh'.

Edit: Idk it wasnt there when i 1st read it, I just refreshed and it appeared <shrugs>

Nice find! The ending was a perfect finishing touch too.

It gets a 5/5 from me for being one of the only 'twin' stories I've actually found myself enjoying as I read it. Though I haven't read that many in the first place...

I quite enjoyed that. The style was very different and took a bit to get into it, but when I did, it was worth the read.

    5/5.

I'm quite glad it ended there, actually. It wouldn't have had the same impact if we saw Dumbledore die, or the confrontation with Daniel.

    Great find.

This is definitely a well written story. What I like most about the story is how Harry leaves Dumbledore to his fate. I can't help but understand his resentment and anger.

    I would give it a solid 5/5.

This is a pretty good find. In fact, it's too good to be a companion piece to Unsung Hero, which has always been pretty mediocre.

It would have been more awesome if it was written along the lines of Taure's Turncoat, without the whole "BWL's twin' plot device, which I'm sure the author would be able to pull off admirably.

I loved the style. Ect. Ect. Whateveryoneelsesaid.

    Yeah.
4.5/5 (-.5 for crappy BWL twin BS).

Well executed and although heavily Unsung Hero oriented, it was a good one shot. 4/5
