HAHAHAHA! You say that now?! Damn, i had this problem so long ago i stopped reading fics with any parings when it comes to naruto...which in it self is rare. This was around 2 years ago. Especially the fucking pairings that lasts forever when naruto only had one female in his life. Fics like that wants to give a bitch slap to the author and tell him to use some common sense.

 

Damn, I had forgotten that they were twelve. When you put it that way, it is a bit disturbing. What I hate though is OOC Anko/Naruto, especially when she suddenly becomes very mushy-mushy. But overall there aren't so many romantic stories in Naruto (so unlike in Avatar *grumbles*) so it doesn't bother me.

I would be happy if people would write more stories without pairings. Most authors have no idea how to balance romance with action, or to implement the pairing without some cliche moment like this:

Meh. Naruto comes out of nowhere with a kinda corny power. This had an awesome presence with a not-so-awesome execution.

 

Yes, that was an excellent idea, and the action scenes are decently written.

The only problem is, that the action scenes are like 1/20th of the story.
It's a passable story, but certainly not a favorite, and I doubt I'll keep up with it.

 

Story sucks major balls in my book. I didn't like anything about it, except for the idea.

 

Come on. Fucking scythes flying out of nowhere? Naruto wandering into the middle of the Forest of Death during the Chunnin exam? The whole "how could it be? Is he teh zombie!?!?" bull shit.

Naruto w/ Jashin is a fucking AWESOME idea. In fact, I really wanna see that done well now. Cult-raised-Naruto perhaps? Who knows. But is is still an amazing idea.

 

I'd like to see more of this idea, but I can't stomach the writing of that one. The mistakes just grate on my nerves until I click the little red 'x' on reflex.

 

One of the reasons why I liked the story is that I'm getting pissed off reading hundreds (or at least it seems so) stories with the same plot line. Naruto becomes uber powerful cuz of Kyuubi. He has chakra reserves over 9000! He can do lots of Rasengan.

I think that Jashin was like a breath of fresh air in Naruto fandom. But, yeah... the writing isn't perfect and I afraid that the author will waste a lot of chapters in silly Anko/Naruto romance.

 

You know what? Fuck it. A Naruto/Avatar crossover has potential for awesomeness.

The biggest obstacle: Both series's are meant for younger audiences, so we'd need an older/more mature fanfiction fan from BOTH audiences, something hard to find.
I can see it now:
Naruto/Toph - Just to fuck with Naru/Hina fans.

I'm having trouble writing my Harry Potter fic, let alone taking up another project. If we can get a good writer, I'll gladly pour my brain out as an 'idea guy'. I think I'm a decent writer, but I consider myself a damn good 'idea guy'.

We just need a mechanist to my Sokka and we're set.

Dear Naruto Fanfiction authors,
stop using Japanese words in your fics. Fucking stop it. Now. The only acceptable Japanese words are techincal talk (shinobi, kunai, gama-bunta, kage-bunshin, hokage ect) and honorifics (if you're not retarded about it). Everything else, including: nani, baka, teme, urusai, dattebayo, dobe (this one pisses me off. Just say idiot. Sounds so much better.), ect. If it is not Naruto-specific, don't use it. All it does is break up the flow of the story, and reveal you, the author, to be a horrible wapanese weeaboo.

You know what's starting to bug me the most in Naruto stories? Not the child romance or the cookie-cutter plot, but the training and fighting scenes. Here's an example.

Naruto flipped backwards in the air, dodging the trio of shuriken that had almost impaled his chest. Forming his hands into a familiar seal, he cried,

"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" Suddenly, the blond haired youth was surround by nearly thirty of his own clothes, cracking his knuckles and pointing a finger at his opponent, "Get him, boys."

They didn't get a chance to charge, though, as their opponent finished a flash of hand seals, crying in a rough voice, "Katon: Endan!" A large torrent of fire ripped from his mouth, flying towards the shocked Narutos at an astounding speed. Not able to dodge in time ... Naruto was burnt to pieces.

"Naruto! Oh, no, what have I done! After throwing countless shuriken with deadly accuracy and trying to roast you alive with a dragon made of flame, I'm so shocked that I finally hit you with a jutsu! Woe is me!"

I just don't get it. They fight all the time using jutsus and weapons meant to kill, and usually barely dodge each others attacks ... what the hell would you do if your attacks actually hit? I just can't understand the mindset of authors when their sparring matches consist of Naruto throwing five hundred kage shuriken at Sasuke or Sakura. It's retarded.

 

Is it possible for a fic to have exponential potential for awesomeness?

 

The best update Viridian has had...ever. Plenty of action, though he could still do without the Naru/Hina fluff.
