I don't think the person that posted the reason ban in sig was advocating writing a 100,000+ word essay on what the person did to get ban. Perhaps he meant something like:

"Dupe account is Dupe"
"I got ban for being a cunt"
"I got ban for being drunk, I'll be back in 3 days"

Stuff along those lines.

Unless you are the person banned, it wouldnt. If you get banned though, itll tell you why. Curious enough to find out personally?

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Like I said, it is a feature that I would like to see done, one that I am willing to spend a time doing, but perhaps it is not best for the site as a whole. Who knows what may happen in the future...

I fail to see a mini-coup going on... For me to reach any type of power of this board, would probably require at least a vote of all existing members of the Admin and Mod teams.

All I have done is offer my service and time to something that I feel worthwhile. Hell, I believe that I even said something about limited powers a person had if they took on the project and where not an existing mod. Kind of like the powers Gio has over S&P (as far as I know, thats the only place he got powers).

The only problem that people seem to have the OP idea is that it would take up too much of the Mod teams time. I have offered my time to help get it done. If offering my time in good faith is enough to get be labeled a couper and a ban from the site, perhaps I need to stick to lurking...

I know that, but if someone is going to label me a coup'er for one post that I made over a year ago I am going to respond.

The mention post was about me helping out in my spare time, I was going for a couple of members to take a section of the Library, go through the fics listed, finding out what category they would be in, record where they go, check it twice to make sure, then give the final list to a mod to be place in the right section in the sub board.

I do believe that I agreed with you, My post were giving reason's why people would like that feature added in. And yes, I agreed with it. But I realized later that there are other ways of finding out how a person got ban, ie PMing a mod, going to irc, etc...
It would then be up to the people in charge if they wanted to share that info with you...
