I'd feel kind of foolish standing in line to see that. I wish that Lucas would quit milking the Star Wars name. I know that it is his, but this prequel crap is starting to piss me off.

On the other hand, the game that comes out for the movie should be awesome though. Speaking of games, they should have just taken the money for this game and put into KOTOR 3...

Wow, those graphics are bad. You'd think they'd be able to do better, considering how good the graphics were in the previous films (whatever faults they may have had, the prequels had amazing CGI). These graphics are more like a PS2 game, and only slightly better than the 90s T.V. show Reboot (awesome show).

Well, at least Lucas has finally got his dream: the ability to make films without those pesky actors getting in the way.

Wow ... I'll agree with everyone else who said that the graphic quality of that is utterly pathetic. It might be halfway acceptable for a video game that came out in the 90's, but for a new feature length film ... was Lucas on crack when he approved this piece of crap?

I have to disagree with Taure; PS2 games have much better graphics than that.

Aside from how bad this thing fails has anyone heard any new news about KOTOR 3?

No new news that I have seen, I am pretty much calling it dead at this point. I might get it if it ever comes out, but then again...

I still don't fully get how Anakin is allowed to have a Padawan.

And yeah, graphics are total fail. Probably the one thing I was expecting them to get right with this, too.

I could tolerate the prequals because even though the dialogue, graphics, and characterization were all horrid at least there were plenty of nice visuals and well-coreographed fight scenes. Without any eye candy this film as absolutely nothing to offer.

I went to see AotC in the theatres because one of the previews showed Padme with a titty hard on in that little white number she wore at the end there..

... Looks like the animated Miniseries they had on Cartoon Network a while back... only with infinitely shitty graphics. :/

And they ruined Asajj Ventress. >_>

Still KotOR's Story > Canon Star Wars Universe. Revan o/

Is the complete KotOR storyline published anywhere? 'Cause I've come across a couple of fanfics where like Revan was orphaned and Kreia put him with Mandalorians or something like that so that e would have battle training before the Jedi took him.. Is that all legit or just fanon?

I have read a couple of fics like that as well. Not really sure where it came from. All that I remember from the games is that there was speculation that he was been born beyond the Outer Rim Territories. Other than that, nothing.

I know that there is also a Comic series out, but I think it is set either a few years before or during the Mandalorian Wars. Not sure what the content of it is, never took a look at them. There might be a few novels out now, I'd have to take a look to find out.

Because we all know good graphics = good movie.

I'mma jump off the band wagon here. I thought the Clone Wars animated series on CTN were INFINITELY better than the last (or first, depending) three movies.

A style of cartooning and/or CGI doesn't have to be photo-realistic to be good. I happened to have like the style of the animated series, and while this CGI adaptation of that doesn't appeal to me as much, I'm not fucking horrified by it.

It isn't supposed to be "good" in the terms you are all talking about. If they wanted that, why the fuck wouldn't they just use actors again? 90% of I II and III were CGI anyway.

And since when do we judge something based on it's graphics? Seriously. Is someone going to start complaining that the ATA-walkers in ESB looked totally ridiculous? This is the kind of thinking that is DESTROYING the video game industry, and Hollywood in general.

    tl;dr - Stop being next-gen fags. :D

In all honesty, if I hadn't have known it was going to be a movie, I would have thought it was a trailer for a game.

I never saw the series on CTN. I agree, the graphics are decent. I have never been a fan of this type of film.

The graphics are not what I was expecting, also wtf is up with Yoda?

You have a valid point in that pretty graphics are a secondary consideration to having a good plot and interesting characters. The problem is that the prequels were notable for their lack good characterization and an interesting plot, but they did at least have plenty of eye candy (and an awesome musical score).

I think a lot of people, including me, expect this new film to have all the horrendous plot and shoddy characterization of the other prequel movies, and without all the eye candy that made us willing to pay less attention to all the other flaws of episondes I, II, and III.

Its during the Mandy wars. Malak shows up a bit, but not Revan. The only comic Revan appears in (and only for like one page) is the Star Wars Tales issue number 23. Shadows & Light is the story name.

As to the question of Revan's heritage and backstory, not really much was given. Though, more of Revan is mentioned in Darth Bane: Path of Destruction (a novel.) I think he even shows up as a Holocron, if I remember right.

But it will have a whole lot of DBZ like fighting scenes...

I wonder what Anakin's midichlorian count is? ..someone better use that setup..
