Look at the name, it should be obvious.
As I have read the Dresden Files, the songs I listen to have changed...

While I was reading Death Masks I listened to St.Anger by Metallica, it just seemed to fit...

While I was reading Storm Front I listened to Paralyzer by Finger Eleven...

While I was reading Dead Beat, during the fight at the end I was listening to Nothing To Lose by Operator...

Like I said it earlier my music selection varies, for other Dresden books I listened to some other shit. If I remember them I will post them.

Im not a huge fan of 3 Days Grace, but they put on an excellent Live performance. But still, very few bands I see do it better Live than Breaking Benjamin.

Gods am I tempted to edit out that link. I cannot stand St. Anger or anything from that Album onwards from Metallica.

Meh, it's up to you if you want to, but St.Anger is probably my second favorite Metallica song right after Enter Sandman.

Oh and I agree with the Breaking Benjamin opinions expressed before me, they are definitely a good band.

You can actually stand anything from Load/Reload onwards (apart from S&M)? Just about all the good stuff dried up when they turned to fag-metal. They need to do what Mustaine did with United Abominations and bring back the thrash and heaviness. Master, Ktulu, Wolf and Man, Lightning... that kind of stuff.

I usually listen to Kamelot, Epica and assorted Power metal when I read.

I prefer not to listen to music when I'm reading, but a lot of the time it's a choice between the generic rap my upstairs neighbours are playing or whatever I play on my headphones. At the moment I'm listening to Grendel, who Murt put me onto by including them in the second Megamix, and Ladytron, who Trag recommended. And there's always whatever bit of trance Syao's linked me to lately.

There are some songs on Reload and a lot of Load I can dig, but most of it is meh. Mostly though, the Black Album ... feh No. S&M was gimmicky. Had some good songs, but most of it I didnt like. I dislike Live albums, for that matter.

King Nothing, Until it Sleeps, Fixxxer, House that Jack Built, stuff like that.

Shitty Slipknot ripoff song is fucking fail. Jesus that ... Ugh. Words fail to describe the talentless shit.

I don't know why, but I really enjoyed listening to Men at Work while reading Dresden today... Could just be because they are a truly epic band.

I generally listen to slow or soft music while reading, like Enya, Stairway to Heaven, Hotel California, Blowing in the Wind, Knocking on Heaven's Door, A.R. Rahman, John Mayer etc. Exceptions are AC DC's Born To Be Wild, some Elvis (Pretty Woman, Jailhouse Rock, etc.), Zombie, and a bit of Robbie Williams.

You sure you don't mean Steppenwolf? Dun think I've ever heard AC/DC cover it... And speaking of Steppenwolf, Magic carpet ride reminds me of Amara from Codex Alera.
