I'm feeling a strange sense of deja vu coming on.

I remember a while back I was trying to get this fic in the library after it landed in the rejected pile.

It was honestly very good before... but the chapter where the occamy bites it is where it all goes down hill. It's like the Harmonian version of HBP...

I tried to ignore that chapter but its like its a completely different author... I'm guessing she never actually planned on how to actually resolve the story, only on how to keep building the plot. She ended up following pretty much every cliche Harry/Hermione plot point there ever was. And as an ex portkey reader I know... oh dear lord I know.

I wish this had stayed in the recycle bin...

    So disappointing.

I've given up on this one almost completely. I could care less about the Hermione angle but after chapter 38 it just went straight to fucking hell and never bothered climbing back out of the pit of ineptitude.

I have to agree with this sentiment; Originally, I thought this story had quite a bit of promise, but she really went over the top with the emo-my-parents-don't-love-me factor. I eventually settled for reading this just to see the friggin ending, but nowadays, I can't even force myself to do that. Trash Bin time.

It's a pity so many of us already submitted votes when this story was at its prime.

This just goes to show that while it's perfectly professional and tasteful to say that a story is shit judging by the first few chapters, you can't trust a good story to stay good.

    Quoted for truth. <1/5.

It was fine, up until the dual w/ Voldemort. But theres a great spin-off oneshot in the library, Ne Fiat Lux by Silver Pard. All the good parts of this, compressed into one chapter, and the clique filtered. Ahhh....

Fuck the bandwagon. I liked it. I'm not a fan of H/Hr but it's done reasonably well. I'm guessing that most of the hate is from the marriage scene though and it snowballed from there.

I've never read a 'twin who lived' fic before because every one I've looked at is pure shit. This isn't...not by a long shot. The amount of decent FF these days is being drowned out by the festering pile of shit that is FF'S 'just in' category. This is a brilliant fic that hasn't been abandoned, it deserves respect at the very least. 4.5/5

    Ending's Up

I've hated this story since chapter..30 or so, but I'm still a member of her yahoo group, and since it was the last chapter I decided to catch up from where I left off (about chapter 34) hoping for redemption.

    FINAL RATING: :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:/5

I can't even describe the faggotry and gayfail that went into these last chapters. The ending was rushed, with ranting Harry and pussified supporting characters and a combo failure time travel/DH King's Cross Station scene (I shit you not), all squeezed into a cesspool of Idon'tevenKNOWwhut.

And she got help on this chapter from JBern? Psshhhhhhhh.

Like I said, I'm in her Yahoo group; it's probably not updated on ff.net yet. You're better off without it, TRUST me.

Is it really that bad? I'll admit the last few chapters havn't been spectacular but other than 'A Black Comedy' I want to read a completed fic that I can say I enjoyed. /me kicks stone.

    Fucking terrible ending.

There are seriously no other words to describe the abomination that this story was left with. I'm sorry if this appears exceedingly cruel, but what the FUCK.

I admit to once enjoying this story, even going as far to self-validate the super supremacy of Parselmagic and his undying love for Hermione as mere character devices to further the plot. I waited over a month for some amazing ending, one that would wrap it together nicely and make it succinct.

    I was left wanting.

I leave with one last word: Even with his wand out of his hands and being cornered with the (wtf?) use of time travel, his magical eyes should have partially transformed to win. It was as if MeghanReviews went for the epic, tragic ending and ultimately was lacking in delivery.

But then again, several parts of the story have been left that way.

A rushed development of Hermione and Harry, the overall stupidity of characters invented, and even the unrealistic treatment of Harry and the subsequent angst. The conclusion was fitting, and I wish I had never read the ending.

For the first 25-30, 3-4/5 . Twas a decent piece that kept me avidly attached

For the last: 1/5. I hung by pieces of thread, until she clipped them away.

Actually, there IS some hope. I went to her Yahoo group a while back (before Christmas, I think) and read ahead of her FF.net postings. The unpublished stuff sucked. But the chapters that she released on FF.net were much better. I'm going to wait til it's all out, and then read the last few chapters all at once.

I could care less about the wedding or any of that bullshit. Like Blaise said, it descended into the depths of faggotry and fan-girlishness. And it never crawled back out, unfortunately.

    FFS! The ending just SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Here here.

Couldn't be bothered joining yahoo groups, so I was waiting for it on FF.net. No bloody point now, even if it is a poor ending. Thanks, Bucks. Real appreciated.
