That dog looks like a Dave to me.

Or a Cody, or maybe a Dylan, or pretty much any name that you never want your wife to saddle one of your kids with. (She'll never name your son something stupid like "Jaeden" if that's what you call the dog).

He looks like an Ozzie to me, but Butters does suit him too.

Get him a red cape and constantly refer to him as under dog. Points if you play the theme song whenever he enters the room.

Call him Lucky Bastard. Because he's lucky to have lived through whatever events led to his mother's death. And Bastard cause his parents obviously had him out of wedlock -- heathens that they are.

Plus a name like Lucky Bastard comes with built in karma credits for the future.

I suggest Doggasaurus Rex, but I'm really immature so you may not want to go with that. :/

Butters makes me think of South Park, and only South Park.

On topic:I'm sorry, but 'dog' and Dresden references are weak. I'd also suggest "Lulzy", but I don't think people use that term IRL.

    Dare I ask why?

What else can you tell us about the dog. Does he have a God complex, is he gay, does he have an unnatural affinity for the presidential primaries?

Otherwise were just going to cycle between random names and dresden names. which justblaise seems to have a problem with.

There was a thread (now deleted) in the MD board where someone linked a story on AFF with a summary including Felching in the warnings. It was I who enlightened the great unwashed as to what it is.

As for why "Butters" makes me think of anal sex, it's probably because the word makes me think of two other things: "butt" and "batter".

Rofl. Somehow, Taure, I'm not surprised.

Actually, I got Chester(Chess), Mikey(because he just looks like a Mike), or Sam(Sammy).

Why not just 'Harry'? It's simple enough and it works from both a Dresden and Potter perspective.

My dog, on the rare occasions that I don't just call him Dog, is known as Harry :)

Not after Potter though, or Dresden. After me.

Whatever you do just don't call that dog Lucky.

"Why did you name him that?" Cue story about how he's lucky to be alive.

I'VE HAD THAT CONVERSATION LIKE 30 TIMES IN MY LIFE.

Has to be one of the most common dog names.
