Hmm, back about Mac, I'm pretty sure that it was in Dead Beat that Harry said that Mac had arrived and opened the pub 2-3 years before he arrived in Chicago.

 

Semantics. Old Ones, old gods - they're different names for the same thing. He only mentioned the little 'g' because Charity took offence.

EDIT: I remember that... It would give more credence to my Gatekeeper theory, that he arrived and opened the pub in time to make some connections but still be new enough to be considered neutral in the war. (Just remembered that the current Gatekeeper looks nothing like Mac, so that one's out of the window, but he could be a former/future one - time travel annoys me >_>.)

That were supposedly locked away once the Almighty got back into the game. There's a difference between Old Ones and Outsiders (as Harry sees them) since Outsiders are the footsoldiers while Old Ones are the masters, but not between Old Ones and old gods.

Thor/Odin/etc. are the Old Ones.

 

Is it just me or does anyone else see Harry being sent back into the past.

The author seems to be breaking each of the magical laws one by one, and its only a matter of time before Harry gets to say groovy in the the age it was meant to be uttered in.

If nothing else I would like to see a fic for that, because the Dresden time travel section is non existent at the moment.

I say this because it occurs to me that we may finally find out some of these answers at that point.

And Have Mac as a Talkative Teenager who looks to Dresden for advice in the past asking the classic line, " Do I know you?"
