    Canon*

And yeah, I take books before movies any day.

And we do indeed see Pettigrew transform, twice, in PoA.

Thanks Taure, edited my post on both counts. I was talking about post-silver hand, ignoring the two in PoA, for sake of the discussion; do we see him transform with his new hand?

Now I don't remember that, but I'm pretty sure that, in PS, McGonnagal transformed back at least twice, neither of which times resultet in her being naked in front of Dumbledore / the class.

    Also, OP is an idiot.

Right on both counts. Of all the Animagus transformations we have seen in canon (Sirius, Peter and McGonagall {We don't actually see Skeeter transform}) they've kept their clothes.

Hoyt. -_- You give all Irish people a bad name.

Nope; OotP when he is accompanying Harry to the station, he enters into a side room and when Harry enters after him he is re-robing himself, clearly bes-clothes underneath!

I'm pretty sure that was just in the movie, Mate.

And in the first book, the very first one, McGonagall transforms from cat to woman in front of a class of eleven year olds and no one freaks out. If she had been naked, they would have. It is, therefore, very likely that she was clothed.

Moral of this story: don't be a douche bag.

Maybe he's just a closet nudist and wasn't wearing anything when he transformed to go and meet Harry. It didn't occur to him that this would come back to bite him until later, at which point he mugged someone for their clothes.

Err, if that's aimed at me you should read my posts more carefully; I was saying that the movies suck, because of that instance with Sirius in OotP, and that is where I was clearing it up from in my last post when people said that he didn't.

I agree, it was just in the movie, thank you for reiterating my point...

When I posted this I thought that his hand would NOT stay human just like all of you, I just wanted to argue both sides until someone could give me conclusive evidence that it would not happen. In canon Peter never shows in rat form after he gets the new hand. Don't be so quick to judge me as an idiot with no common sense. I just thought it was a possibility and a unique thought and felt like sharing it. Some things are unknown and never discussed but everyone believes one thing without even questioning it, this is a mistake because many good ideas come from these talks.

Who knew this forum was full of tards that can't have a discussion without condemning someone to the Wall of Eternal Shame.

    Someone please prove me wrong...

Backpedal moar. It's hard to take such a stupid question seriously, especially when you can't even get the name right.

However this a moot point, as no-one in this forum has to prove anything to you.

Hey guys! I just had a funny thought that I wanted I share with you - just to argue out:

How do we know that Harry Potter is truly the Boy-Who-Lived? Don't you think it could've been someone else? Maybe Neville, perhaps?

It's not too obvious a question, is it? I mean, it's a legitimate question that most of you would be interested in, and not an example of me being a dumbfuck, right?

If what Oz said is true, Hoyt just reinforces my hatred for Irish people. Or Cork people if he is from there...

Are we seriously discussing whether or not werewolves are like saiyans? WTF? Hoyt, re-read the entire series and then open your face, hmmmmm? As for the transformation thing, wasn't there a reference to him transforming and spying in HBP?

You know the question I asked is much more valid than that.

Your mind is so full of cliche fanfiction and overdone crap that you think you know everything there is to know about harry potter and that if something doesn't match fanon it's false.

and to the other dude. of course werewolves aren't fucking saiyans. i was asking a valid question that i wanted an answer for. What do they do with werewolves then if they dont just kill them off? would you stick them in a cell and then suddenly out of nowhere some night they transform and spaz out?

have you ever thought about that? where DO they put werewolves?

and to the other asswipe who would judge an entire group on one person, i have 2 words for you. FUCK. YOU.

I have a retard in one of my classes that if you hold your hand out to him with a quarter in it he will reach to grab it and once you close your hand he pulls back, you can do it over and over and it stays the same.

Hes white. are all white people retards because he is retarded? Seriously, you are pathetic if you really think like that

Alright, Hoyt - I'll pull a DLP first (as far as I know of) and stand down. Don't get me wrong - I still think your original question bordered on supreme idiocy, but not because any of us think we know everything. It annoyed us because you could've answered your own question. But whatever.

Ignoring the comparison to DBZ, I've also wondered about werewolf transformations. I think the presence of a full moon at night (whether visible to the werewolf or not) will cause a transformation. I always wondered if werewolves could outrun their curse, so to speak. For example: it's a full moon night in England, and the sun is setting. Could I avoid transforming if I took a portkey to, say, the US - where it's still daylight? And make another jump to Australia before nightfall reaches the States, and so forth. I doubt it's that easy though.

Rather disappointing I'd say. I'm sure the retard will view this as validation of some sort.

As for werewolves, if we decide that it is the mere presence of the full moon, and not its light, that actives the transformation, then the transformation is going to occur whether you can see the moon or not. Thus, going half way around the world to where it is day time will have presumably the same effect as simply hiding in the cellar: you are outside the visible effects of the full moon, but the full moon is still there, so you will still transform.

Of course, this rather makes the whole dependency of the transformation on the full moon rather random, as even moving to where it isn't full moon doesn't change it. Apparently your transformation would be fixed to whether or not it is full moon in your "home" country, which has no explanation at all. A bit of a plot hole really.

Validation leads to the opponent shutting the hell up - try it somtime ;)

It's not a plot hole - JKR didn't invent werewolves. Given how werewolves "work", country-jumping to dodge transformation is a more feasible plan than staying in a cellar. The moonlight is completely blocked by the earth during the daytime, so it's not as if it's bathing the area in moonlight, which explains how it affects werewolves without being visible to them.

I could truly go further with this pointlessness, and ponder how an eclipse affects a werewolf...

I have a question. In canon, do we ever see any cross-country portkeys? I know that technically, there shouldn't be any reason why they don't exist. I don't remember any portkeys from Britain to France or the like in canon.
