Sasuke suddenly dying and never being mentioned again would be the best thing for the manga. At least we have fanfic, I suppose.

On a side note though, the new chapter was pretty cool. I like the look of Sasuke's Mangekyou, though that's beside the point, and the goal of crushing Konoha gives us villain!Sasuke .

I knew there would be a good point to this whole redeemed!Itachi thing.

 

I am getting the feeling that Konoha is going to be painted as the bad guys, and Sasuke is going to be considered the wronged party. Thus making Sasuke a quasi-good guy. Unless he tries to kill Konoha ninja not caring who they are.

 

The ending of the chapter, maybe. Everything in the flashbacks + Sasuke's tears was made of pure, unaltered fail, though.

Well just read the chapter...seriously did anyone not see this coming when the Redeemed!Itachi theme started? Though Sasuke's new eye did look cool. Maybe an invidiual MS for every individual?

 

Just how strong are the other members of Team "Eagle"?

 

Suigetsu is apparently pretty strong, and we all know how powerful Juugao can get if he lets his bloodline control him. With his new Mangekyou Sasuke looks to be even more uber than before and will probably develop yet another 'unstoppable' jutsu. Karin seems to be the weak link, though her skills lie more in finding targets than actual fighting.

Just a random thought I had, but I'm sure we've all noticed that the shape of the Mangekyou changes from person to person, but do you think that has an effect on what jutsu can be learned (or will be).

Itachi's Mangekyou was shaped like a three-bladed shuriken, and his major jutsu was based on twisting the world in the mind of the victim (Amaterasu, I reckon, is just a warped version of katon jutsu, that was adapted to be cast through the Mangekyou).

Kakashi's sharingan was shaped like a pinwheel that encompassed his pupil, and his jutsu twisted the world around a single point and sent it into another dimension.

Now we get to Sasuke and his Mangekyou Jewinatomgan. I'm fighting my reflexive pessimism here, but what do you think? Some type of atomic manipulation that we've never heard of before? A magical ability that makes dead enemies drop gold for him to hire an army with?

... I think I lost the battle against pessimism there... Though I can't find it in me to care >_>.

 

Sasuke is a bitch. He's such a bitch he doesn't even understand what self sacrifice is. How is Konoha the enemy? Stupid. It fits perfectly with his character, at least.

I think Naruto v Sasuke will work like this:

Naruto's plot armor > Sasuke's plot armor

Even if Naruto loses the initial fight, he'll find a way to turn the tide. If not in the first fight, he'll win in the second or third, after some stupid training arc.

Since the Sharingan has all Japanese-God related powers, it's likely we're to see something along those lines than 'jew gold making powers'.

At least it looks like Kishimoto will be ending Naruto pretty soon. Probably not more than a 100 chapters left – unless he does a part 3 (with the next generation – a possibly good decision, especially if Shikamaru has a brat).

 

Stories based on the children are never good ones. Especially from a manga that already fails on so many levels. Has DBZ/GT taught you nothing?

What the fuck happened to Kisame? Did Kishi just forget about him?

@Chime: I don't see the manga ending anytime soon. We still have the Kakashi and Sakura arcs. That's going to be about 25-30 chapters possibly more. Then we have to kill off the rest of Akatsuki, something I just can't see Naruto doing without a time skip to make him more powerful. We still don't know anything about his mom, I have the feeling that there is going to be some plot importance to her past sooner or later. Tsunade still has to die. Danzou still has to die. We still have Kabuto/Orochimaru to worry about.

Too much to cover in 100 chapters. I seriously think that there will be another time skip. I just CAN'T see Naruto being powerful enough to kill Pain or beat Sasuke at this point in the manga. Maybe it will skip to Naruto as a Jounin, 20 years old and much more powerful. Hell, maybe we will get to see him with his own genin team, though while interesting, it may be kinda lame.

 

Or maybe he get's underestimated and pwns everyone with his Ultimate Super Naruto Giant Glowing Really Sharp Rasengan Ball.

Now that I think about, this was one of the gayest chapters ever. Once again, Sasuke wins, so Naruto automatically looses. It's one thing to be the underdog, but jumping jock straps Batman, Naruto isn't even close to being in the same category as Sasuke! Come on! Super fire dragon, ridiculous lightning attack, a new Mangekyou Sharingan, not to mention he can still copy shit and all that bull... *sigh*

Kishi really needs to give Naruto some power ups or something, because Sasuke's power level is most certaintly over nine thousand.

 

There were lots of people who thought of that a few days ago...They even started calling it his jewingan, seems to have caught on.
