On top of that, the download failed with less than a megabyte left, I hope this story is worth it.

That doesn't matter, open the .part file with Winrar and extract after selecting 'Keep Broken Files'. It will work excluding the last few stories.

I can't comment on that, I'm just a user. I suspect there are good reasons why the archive isn't set up like that.

I realise that dl'ing a large file of that size can be arduous for anyone on dial-up. If you'd asked nicely I'm sure someone would've been happy to email you the fic in question. It was only your unthinking complaint that set me off.

The DLP Archive is a one-man project that a lot of effort goes into. That's why there's a slightly defensive attitude surrounding it.
