I still play DotA most days with my clan.

CoD4 seems to be all the rage at the current time.

I liked Far Cry's single player, a decent game.

Could always try Doom 3, that's had me addicted for about a week now. Ain't really that scary but it can make you jump a foot in the air at times. They had a great idea when they made it impossible to see and shoot at the same time >_>. I've ended up clubbing more demons to death with my flashlight than shooting them with my pistol.

Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth is another good horror game, but it's a bit more frustrating than Doom and is much less... trigger happy.

Anyone else here ever played Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem? That was an awesome horror game. The sanity meter always made me laugh because of the weird shit it would do to your screen like flipping it on and off and insects crawling around.

I think I've got it on Gamecube, but I never actually use that so I doubt I've played it more than twice. I can't remember what it's about either though, so I may go back and have a look at it.

If your insanity meter gets too high it pulls all sorts of weird shit. A fly that crawls around on your screen and looks real enough that I tried to kill it the first time it happened, etc. I haven't played it in years but it's one of the few that always stuck with me.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow six 3 Raven Shield <---- epic game.

I can't count how many extremely enjoyable hours I put into that. Multiplayer is amazing aswell. Game is kinda dying online though there's only ever 50-60 american players on at peak times lol.

Edit: You can pick it up in the bargan bins now for 5$ :)

I don't now if you're into RTS games, but the Total War series for PC might be worth a look, they're pretty decent time-killers.

    And now, my personal confession:

I started playing Civ IV again.

"I really thought I was done with it, that I'd played all the scenarios to death. But it was like I just couldn't stay away, man! It was all like 'Play, man, c'mon, just one little game!' Over and over and over until I couldn't take it anymore!"

Medieval: Total War is a must. Empire Earth II is like Age of Empires (if you remember it) but 80x better.

Battlefield: Vietnam is great. If you've got HL 2, grab The Specialists mod. It's epic.

I just finished Total War 2 off. It was decent enough but thanks to the retarded camera bullshit, not all that epic.

M:TW is the best of the series, no doubt. I still play it.

Age of Empires III is pretty good, too...Japan in The Asian Dynasties is waaaay OP, but hey, it's cool. The multiplayer is either epic or lulzy depending on the people you play with.

I just finished M2:Total War. Interesting and intricate, if it hadn't been for the controls I would've loved it.

I got R:TW and Barbarian Invasions (was in a pack) and I really didn't like it much. It was laggy, even on exceeded requirements and a patched copy, and moving armies was bitchy.

    Didn't like Imperial Campaigns, either.

    All in all, M:TW Ftw.

Anyone else ever played Lord of the Realm 2 for pc? That's still one of my favorite pc strategy games of all time. The third one blew but the second one was great.

BF 2142 ftw, but i aint played it in forever. I'm not a big RTS junkie. Most are boring little zerg fests.

Anyway, it's TF2 ftw right now. The DLP server was fucking awesome last night, and me, Raven, Jangel, Jon, TP, Cyber were absolutley fucking drestroying ppl.

...you have got to try M:TW man. It's not like Age of Empires or that other bullshit where you make like 20 units and go fight 'wars'.

This is armies of anywhere from 120 to 3,000 units - real time, and you issue commands (formation changes, movement, and stuff like 'hold ground').

It's seriously badass man, you just can't pass it up.

    QFT. M:TW = win.

Rome is the worst in the series, no doubt. Medieval 2 is decent, but it just lacks the epicness of M1.

There are some decent mods for all of them, though. There's the XL mod for Medieval, Europa Barbarorum and Rome:Total Realism for R:TW, as well as Broken Crescent for M2.

If you liked KotoR, then try Jade Empire.
Very similar gaming, but the battles are real time and not round based.
The best gaming experience you get with the pc version and a gamepad.
You'll get definitely less action than a FPS, but I'm a friend of story intense games.

For Xbox you should try Project Zero if you haven't already. Horror game with nice innovative gameplay and tight atmosphere.
