Run, don't walk to your local library and ask them for a copy of this book. If you're not into science fiction, don't worry too much--Asimov included all kinds of fantasy in this collection as well, so the title is a bit of a misnomer. Read a couple of the stories in the book and tell me again how she couldn't develop a decent plot in 800 words....

It isn't that it can't be done; you just have to be a good writer to pull it off!

(And in JKR's case she has no real excuse, given that she has a large enough fanbase she can just refer to names, places, people and concepts without the need to explain or give too much background information or even describing the characters' appearances....nah, she has absolutely no fucking excuse!)
