Not really.

Female "circumcision" is mutilation, pure and simple. The woman's clitoris is removed, and sometimes her vagina is also sewn shut such that there's only just enough room to piss. It usually means that a women cannot feel sexual pleasure for the rest of her life. Not to mention the mental trauma of being tied down/held down by your family while they do it to you, with no painkillers.

Male circumcision is not only harmless, but has also been shown to have health benefits.

I don't know if it's sad or funny. It happened to, by my estimation, 10 million girls at least... and I'm talking about recent years. They usually do it when the girl haves her first 'unwanted blood loss' [In those girls cases very unwanted =/ ] and when the girl marries [which is sadly not that far apart]. They do it so she won't cheat on the husband, or want to do sex at all.
