I dunno, didn't he mention at one point that he was happy to stop writing it? To be honest, I don't think he would have taken it down, doesn't seem like his kind of thing. I imagine he could just take the criticism and be the arrogant guy he was. (His rebuttals made me lol).

I too, am more upset about the pokemon fic though. It looked like it may end up as total kickassery.

 

Eh, either way he took off; due to us, or some retarded fanfic.net mod, or just real life issues. Really doesn't matter now.

I'm pretty sure a few people here would start trampling babies, in order to get to fanfiction.net if they heard that he updated any of his stories though...

I got in the course I was aiming for at University, that's why I deleted all of my 'distractions', as I like to refer to them as.

That > fanfiction.

I have to pay for my own schooling, I don't have the luxury anymore to spend time writing fanfiction. Especially when I had to get another job to pay for my schooling because my dad doesn't 'approve' of a bachelor of arts.

You know how expensive it is at my school? The answer is very.

Please, inflate your ego more by acting like you know anything about me, or thinking you're important enough in any way to influence my decisions.

If I ever write fanfiction again, it'll be on my holidays or if my professor agrees to read and critique it.

Then why delete the stories you may ask? Why not just leave it up?

Probably because I'll, at some point, get the urge to write another chapter when I really shouldn't. It's also the reason why I deleted all the chapters off my computer too.

If there's one success I can take from my stories though, it's what Justblaise said a few posts ago. There are too many shitty fanfictions these days, hopefully someone from here will actually bother with writing a few good ones.

Ah, reminds me of when Bloodlust sad she was leaving fanfiction to concentrate on getting into Oxford. She came back. They always come back.

I admire your dedication to your course, but if you're intending to work 24/7 at uni and not have any free time at all, you're in for a surprise...not even the hardest courses require you to work that hard. Around exam time, perhaps, but to think that you'll not have any free time at all his a mistake, even if you're going to juggle a job with it too.

But each to his own I guess.

While his reason was somewhat valid it doesn't change the fact that from the very first day he joined, he's been an arrogant shithole. Not in the lulzy way either...just an annoying one.

 

Just don't remind him to delete the trashbin, I don't think anyone have copies.

 

MrJoe its shame that you have deleted your story. I will miss it. If you decide that you want to come back to it sometime I have chapters 22 to 29 saved as HTML files. I have ask did you consider putting your story's up for adoption?

 

This would have been a valid reason for a hiatus or abandonment, but not total deletion. I shudder to think of my withdrawals if everyone had thought like MrJoe before and since 2005!

Who cares anyway, it's just fanfiction. Someone else will always step up to continue the show.

A valid reason to hang it up, if an unfortunate one. One might hope that as someone who purports to be an adult, you might be able to muster the maturity to control your impulses and not fall into the "trap" of writing fanfiction when you really shouldn't. (If you can't, then it's doubtful you'll be finishing your degree program anyway).

Yeah, college ain't cheap, so suck it up and find a way to pay for it like the rest of us. (Well, except for Bioplague, who's independently wealthy, apparently).

As for slamming Taure's assumptions, he's only drawing reasonable assumptions from your posts here. That you just blew away all your stuff only a few days after articulating grand plans for multiple fics doesn't support the premise that this was a carefully thought out, mature decision on your part. I'm sure you can see how he could be mistaken.
