I will miss this fic, I really enjoyed it. I hope that the reality of university shows that it will not monopolize all your time and even working will still permit you to indulge in fun activities like writing fics. Exam time is when you will find challenges as far as time is concern; if you use your time wisely you will be ok.

I wish you all the best in all your endevors.

The more I think about it, the more I come to realize that completely delelting the story was a dick move. It wasn't like some little 4 or 5 chapter thing, he almost had 30 chapters posted. Somebody could have taken it & tried to continue the story, but since it is gone you would essentially have to write it over again...then again that might not be such a bad idea, since all of our grievances could be corrected. Like having Harry be born in the 1980's (or 70's seeing as he was born a few years earlier), no more technology, and actually having complex characters (how was it that the OC's were complex but people like Remus & Sirius were one dimensional?).

I mean really, if you want to stop working on it...then just stop working on it. Don't just delete 28 chapters of a story that way more people liked than disliked (based on his reviews that used to be there).

Everyone keeps on saying shit like, "Oh it was a valid excuse, it's a shame to see you go." That's bullshit and you guys all know it or are ridiculously naive. There was no valid reason to remove the fics other than as a bitch slap to those who talked shit about his story, but still enjoyed it.

I know Taure has said it, but no course load requires that amount of time obsessing over it. If he was that pissed off at DLP for our often valid, but definitely harsh constructive criticism, he had an easy solution, stay the fuck away.

I admit, it was a decent read, especially at the beginning when he was churning out chapters like they were nothing, but in the end the only thing that separated him from any other average author was the one thing that stopped in the last month or so.

    tl;dr
Removing the stories was an epic act of douchebaggery that paralleled the character he had created in KiP.

More importantly did anyone manage to save Eldryn's fic that was posted a while back, maybe a little less than a year or so? I believe it was called the Dragon's Tear. I understand that this is what pissed him off to begin with, but I figure he's gone by now, unless Taure's prediction holds true for everyone. So I figure it would be a good lesson of forgive and forget. So, in conclusion, some one hook me up with Eldryn's fic.

I have come to like this fic even though I never reviewed. I hate to see this go but I will respect the author's choice. Eldryn's fics were awesome. I would love to see someone take up the idea of the stories, except for the story where the owl turns into a woman and has sex with Harry. I like Dragon Tears the most.

    And then get peoples hopes up by posting a new chapter, on Christmas Eve of all days, and saying that they'll be posting chapters every four weeks. If you're reading this, Miss Whiskers, feel shame. For some strange reason, I really liked that story. Cock-teasing bitch. ;_;

Mr Joe: It's been a strange ride, to say the least. I have no idea what to feel, but apathy seems to be winning. Good luck.

If you are referring to my post, you misunderstand my point. He's stated a valid reason to leave the fanfiction community, even if I don't agree with it or, for that matter, believe it. The stories are his intellectual property, so it's within his rights to destroy them. (Just like it's within my rights to think him colossal dickhead for doing so).

In the end, at least nonjon got his question answered.

If only we could get someone to redo it with the same basic ideas, remove the Harry/guitar shit, and make his level of knowledge about the muggle world reasonable.

How unsurprising. It's not exactly the first time that he's deleted a story on a whim. Perhaps his reasons are valid and attaining a Bachelor's Degree in Arts in Australia really is just that hard and expensive.

Shrug. Not a massive loss. Too bad though, it was an entertaining read at times.

Meh, I enjoyed the story much more than PMN, which imho sucked balls. Now someone re-post it on ff.net with ninja-edits to make it Harry/Lily.

  15. Hey does any one have a copy of Dragon's Tears or any other of Eldryn's fics

Make an introduction moron, and you should do it quickly, before the others see your post here.

This is worth unlurking for: Dear God yes. It'll also create a dilemma, if the author's truly busy he won't notice the yummy Oedipal jam session goodness ;)

Also how's this for snobbiness, I saw he was studying a BA and wondered how that compared to law school... I've gone totally native.

No, he doesn't have to, moron. Read the stickies in the intro section.

Also, I'm pretty sure that nobody has Eldryn's stuff. He was fairly insistent on it being taken down by everybody and I'm not sure anyone had the mind to keep it.
