The first song in Act II was without a doubt my favorite. The first time I watched the ending I was pretty disappointed, but I'm a sucker for the whole happy ending thing. I watched it again, and I decided I loved the ending.

 

International distribution restrictions FTL. Australia will get it 4-6 months behind the US, just like every other release. -_-

It was all put together quickly and they weren't expecting instant hit supposedly. Mix in Comic Con this weekend and all sorts of international distribution laws and it's taking time.

CD Soundtrack and DVD are very much in the works. Joss in an interview said they 'will be released as “soon as we can” and will definitely be available before Christmas.' Hopefully iTunes internationally will get cleared up very soon.

 

Definately going to be getting both the soundtrack and DVD, it's the best thing I've watched in ages. Been replaying it at an alarming rate for the last few days if I am honest....

As for songs, I'm at a tie between the opening of Act 2, the end of Act 2, and "Rise to Power". I am leaning to the closing song of Act 2 though, but I'm still not sure. Either way, they're all pretty great.

 

Heh, these are some of the easiest songs to get stuck in your head.

And yeah, I'll probably buy the DVD as well, provided it's not exceedingly overpriced.

There'll be a fourth part... Yay? We'll see how that turns out.

If it takes a couple more weeks just to get the soundtrack out for download, I wonder how long a whole new episode will take. A lot of work goes into those songs. And I bet people will want to get paid this time. <_<

I guess this means the DVD release will be delayed too. Good luck to Joss on this, but I'm looking forward to Doll House: Season One.

Excellent, I was hoping that would happen.

Now I can actually recommend it to people without them having to buy it off itunes.

 

I watched these two days ago and I have to say it was definitely worth it. The songs were all pretty good - though I didn't really like Captain Hammer's solo one in Part 3 - and it was lighthearted the whole way. I didn't mind the ending. A happily ever after ending is not something Whedon tends to do and I'm fine with it. I'm curious as to how he'll make Part 4, though.

 

As one of the resident Whedon fanboys and unofficial spokesperson I felt I should point out...

So Amazon just burns and manufactures discs as ordered? Err... okie.

Anyways, I just found out and already placed my order. Tacked on a couple toys to get the free shipping.

I wonder if there's an actual DVD though. Call me a sucker, but I prefer owning the original box along with any other paper ads and posters that they throw in. :V
