Pretty good so far I guess.

 

I've never touched a HP/Naruto crossover, I highly doubt any author can make it work. I just feel the worlds are just too different. But is 'A Personal Matter' worth reading?

 

I remember it being a very good story, but some parts of it could be a bit annoying. Really the strength of A Personal Matter was that it presented a somewhat realistic way to get Harry into the Naruto world, and then it went into detail about how hard it would be for Harry to fit into the world.

So if you don't like a story this is mostly character development then you probably won't like APM (or it's sequel). Still for a story that was mostly about developing the characters there were some entertaining moments. Also Harry starts off at a pretty young age (I believe six) and doesn't really age much though out, he also acts his age for the most part so that also has the chance of annoying some people who read the story.

 

Yeah, I'm pretty wary of HP/Naruto crossovers as a whole.
And I will never read one where any Naruto characters visit HP.

So I was considering reading this until I read that he was six when he crossed, and I completely ruled it out when I read that it focuses entirely on him at that point in time.

Wait, wait, wait. Is 'A Personal Matter' that one where Kakashi's dad sleeps with Lily Potter and after Voldemort attacks he's sent to live with Kakashi a la Kakashi Gaiden?

 

Yeah, I think it starts out just before Kakashi Gaiden and goes up to the Kyuubi attack. There is a bit of action but it's mainly a character development fic.

 

...Yeah, glad I didn't read it.

 

Character development is always a good thing. If as you say the crossover works, I think I'll give it a read.

 

I'm glad I did, its better than most (if not all) HP/Naruto crossovers.

Ah what the hell. It can't be that bad if everyone likes it so much.

Edit: Meh, it's alright. It could still turn out horrible though, it's not very long. I suppose I'll keep up with this, at least for a few more chapters.

 

I blame this thread for getting me involved in Naruto fanfiction once again.
