I checked around and didn't see a thread about this. Amazon.com is offering a standard and a collector's edition of the book. It's to be released December 4, 2008. Will any of you be getting it? I don't know if I will or not.

I'm not going to buy it, looks kind of stupid to me, if I saw it laying on a coffee table I might take a glance at it, probably wouldn't though.

I might pick it up if I was browsing through the bookstore, but there's no way I'd buy it.

    It's just a collection of wizarding fairy-tales, isn't it?

I saw it on Barnes and Noble, when I was looking for Ultimate Iron man, and gotta say looks retarded. J.K just needs to stop with the useless shit and let Fanon take care of the blanks.

Yeah. It's the same one as Ron talks about in Deathly Hallows iirc.

That sound's exciting. My sister will probably buy the book and when I go back for christmas I'll steal it, read it, and most likely burn it...

I probably won't even do that much, Mirkwood. This really doesn't interest me in the slightest. Hell, nothing JKR writes interests me after HBP and TDH...

I just got a coupon from Borders in my e-mail for it...

I say fuck that unless I need to start a bonfire at some point. Bitch can suck my left nut.

I'd get it if I knew the 6 or 7 people who thought they were special when JKR gave them a handmade copy, because you know they didn't let anyone else read it. But that's just for taunting purposes, not out of any real desire to read them.

Everyone already knows the bread and butter of the Tales - the Hallows - so any other tales are most likely weak filler.

Lol, I would have thought it difficult to add filler to a completed series.

    Cake analogy:
It's like adding the eggs you forgot to mix, on top, after it's already come out of the oven.

I bought Quidditch through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and I enjoyed both. So I'll probably browse through it in a bookstore and get it.

A mod or an admin might add a poll about it.

I'm not sure I'd call DH a decorated cake. Or even completely cooked.

But yeah, thats the general idea.

Apparently it will go into some detail about some lores, the past hosts of the Elder Wand and have a bunch of Dumbledore opinions in there.

Pray tell what is the reason of writing this book? Beside the obvious money-whoring?
