I couldn't read past chapter four. It was just not my cup of tea, I guess. Pussy!Harry and Pussy!Tonks is lame; he's fought against fucking Voldemort, and she's an Auror. There's just something wrong there. I don't care if he was Harry's teacher (and parents apparent best friend), and she's getting the submissive side of her stroked every night, it just doesn't work.

I guess if I didn't know of any better Harry/Tonks stories this would be good, but I personally don't like it.

I'd rate it a 2/5 just because the writing style was decent and there were no mechanical errors so far as I could tell.

Harry getting Lupin's sloppies is just gross, too. I wouldn't touch anyone a werewolf has been up in with a 10 foot pole.

I'll give it an instant 2/5 just because it's HONKS and that's enough for a guilty pleasure, but as everyone already said - the execution of the story wasn't done the best, even if the grammar doesn't suck.

But THIS is the Remus I've been dying to see since I read OotP. He's a werewolf. That's enough to warrant a reason to contribute to some type of action. Instead, most stories feature docile, whiny Lupin. I'm glad he's doing something for once even if he is being a dickhead.

I'll round this to 2.5/5, because if anything - this could, hopefully, set off more stories with a less forgiving, docile Lupin.

Like Galleon, I've got to say it was nice to see a very different Remus Lupin. No, this doesn't mean I like the fact that he's physically abusive to Tonks, and threatening to Harry, but it's a nice change of pace. Instead of pussy!Lupin we have extremely aggressive Lupin.

I'll agree with lots of you in that Harry was somehwat OOC about staying in his room when he could hear Lupin laying the smacketh down on Tonks' shapeshifting ass. But I also think it makes for a more realistic reason for him to do what he does A couple of chapters later. He's forced to listen to a friend get smacked around by a man he had respect for.

The writing is pretty consistent, even if the author has problems setting up and executing scenes. Sure, I don't necesarily like certain things, like Lupin's violent streak, or Harry picking up certain pieces, but this isn't really a bad start. It's different, and with the way fanfiction has been going lately, I'd say we should at least start embracing some differences.

Too early to rate, but it's interesting enough to keep an eye on.

 

Is some kind of bizarro werewolf psychology fic? Where Harry is on the wrong side of the "pack"; none of that overly affectionate "Remus' pup" malarky?
With an Alpha mentality with his, ahem, "bitch" on one side, and the dislike towards the person that just got his last "pack" member killed. I suppose if you really want to be unreasonable, Harry's birth sparked the initial rupture too.

It makes for an interesting twist to the usual fare, yet comes across as really rather awkward.
Our fanon pre-conceptions of Tonks don't help much either.

I have to agree with Sesc and Cathal on this one. It is a guilty pleasure read, just because I am pretty much bored with the whole hp genre right now and it is something new. The OOC was a bit weird but I think the whole situation hasnt truly been explained yet so im not going to go into a rant or anything.

This Remus actually makes more sense to me than the canon Remus. I dont know any wolves that are pussies, so why would werewolves be pussies either, arent they supposed to be ferocious animals? Remus is the exact opposite of ferocious in HP, just another of JKR's unexplained character flaws. So I can actually relate to this Remus more than canon remus.

That does NOT mean that I support beating the shit out of lovers, all that gets is a restraining order, but I'm just agreeing with his mentality in this story.

Tonks: original in the fact that she isnt all annoyingly bubbly the whole time, but I would think that she would have common sense and get out of being Remus's personal punching bag. I mean, she doesnt really seem that attracted to him at all here, so why would she let him "vent" on her like this... Its a bit annoying, but overall just the originality I like.

Wont rate because I want to see where the story goes.

 

It's been updated. We get Moody take on the events and what looks to be some upcoming action.

 

Chapter 7 is pretty good. I think what I like about this is it's both new and realistic. Harry is having to step up from schoolboy to handling problems he isn't familiar with. I think labelling this Harry as pussy!Harry is premature, really.

He's already had enough problems with the Ministry that he doesn't want to jeopardize his status as a wizard by using magic to stop what happens to Tonks, which is understandable. As for why he doesn't do anything physically, he was asked not to and stays out of it for as long as he feels he can.

I like the new chapter with Moody and am looking forward to seeing where that goes. Things should be getting interesting soon enough. However, I still don't think there's enough content to really rate yet, so I'll hold off for another few chapters.

The charecterization is getting better, but I'm still wondering what's the main focus of the story? Is it just Remus PMSing towards everyone or is Voldemort going to actually enter this story?

 

It was... okay. Worth continuing but definitely not on favorites list. I give it a 3.5.
