People seem to either really like this episode or really hate it. I'm in the first category.

I think if you looked awesome up in the dictionary it would be a picture of Lelouch. "All hail Lelouch!" indeed. Everyone who mattered already knew about Geass. The only downfall I can see is that the country may be a bit POed that he just killed their Emperor and used a magic power to enslave the minds of the Royal Court. Oh well, I have to give Lelouch credit for having the balls to do that so blatantly on a woldwide broadcast.

PS: What will happen with Kaguya is my question. She knew both Suzaku and Lelouch when they were kids. I actually think she may trust them.

I liked this episode... maybe. I'm going to have to think this out...

PS: Suzaku breaking metal spearhead's with his kick was ridiculous.

Yeah that was ridiculous. However, when has anything Suzaku's ever done made sense? The episode is pretty epic if you can get past the fact that it's sci-fi and not reality. You also can't hate being mindfucked, because Code Geass has a habit of doing that.

I don't mind being mind-fucked, I enjoy it. It's just I'm still trying to get my mind around how I'm being mind-fucked.

Come on lets be serious here (ok-half serious), this is the future where there are giant robots, nukes, guns, and the guards are using...spears.

That was ridiculous in and of itself, I can see the reasoning for it, really I can. It makes sense because the empire is based in tradition, however wouldn't it make more sense for the GUARDS OF THE ROYAL FAMILY to...Ya know, use guns? Maybe keep the spears around as props or something.

Anyway, that's just a huge pet peeve of mine. I hate 99% of stories where the character/characters in a modern world use mid-evil weapons for seemingly no reason.

EDIT-Anyone have the expanded trailer translated yet? I'm dying to see it.

    I lol'd, episode was great.

You just have to suspend your disbelief when watching this show. I mean, there's almost no foreshadowing (writers are making this up as they go, I swear), every episode is Lelouch/Suzaku doing something ridiculous. Everyone should be used to this by now :p.

    Ending will be pretty epic.

I don't have a subbed version. However, this is the quote from the extended preview:

"There's nothing that can't be forgiven, but rather you didn't want to forgive. That's the last line Shirley gave to Suzaku....I and Suzaku use that point to speak to each other...we start to face reality together......together with Suzaku, there's nothing we can't do......hah what irony...a man who always denied Britannia like me......"

You can probably find a raw version to go along with it. I saw it on YouTube.

Indeed. I'm already dreading the onpour of slash fanfiction that I know is coming for Code Geass. It calmed considerably after they started hating each other. Now,I have a bad feeling it will come back stronger than ever. Code Geass left a month for those fangirls to work with.

EDIT: None of what I'm about to post is official or confirmed to be fact. However, new spoilers have come out. I advise everyone to READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!

According to a japanese TV Magazine, Nunnally is alive!!! This is the translation of their summaries for episodes 22 and 23:

    Episode 22 [Emperor Lelouch]
The world is divided into Britannia and UFN. The war begins

    Episode 23 [Schneizel's Mask]
Schneizel uses Nunnally who was thought to be dead against Lelouch. Nunnally who is controlled by Schneizel crashes with Lelouch on the sky of Fuji mountain

The magazine is actually has some credibility because it was the one who broke the story about Shirley dying before the episode aired. Sayako's VA is also on record as saying on an interview "But I'm still al..." when asked about Turn 18. The evidence was sketchy at ebst that Nunnally had died, but everyone seemed to accept it when she was listed as dead on the charts. Now she may be coming back. I was never fully convinced that Nunnally was dead, but I'm worried that they could screw this up big time. Bringing back the "dead" isn't popular and is hard to do well. Although, technically we had no confirmation that she was really dead in the series. Orange-kun went to look for her after all.

Yeah, and they already did this with Mao -- and it was only for the sake of having a filler episode.

Nunally is alive until we see her corpse. It's obvious why they didn't show her dying.

You should probably put spoilers around that. Some people don't like spoilers after all.

I though the glowing light and the giant nuclear warhead were clues enough.

We underestimated Code Geass' WTF factor.

I guess they're going to use the "two plane" thing on us. Romeyer was on the plane after Nunnally's, and Nunnally's plane managed to get far enough away to avoid FLEIJA. Her death was necessary for Lelouch to put everything on the line. Now we get to see what effect her reappearance will have. This is all assuming the magazine is correct of course.

For one I hope the magazine is wrong. IMO it would diminish the impact of Turn 18.

I'm looking forward to the next episode. Especially this thing. Fanatical imperial guard? A new incarnation of Geass Cult?

I have mixed feelings about this episode. Mostly because it wasn't that surprising, and because of the omg dues ex machina knightmare frame of Suzakus.

I still loved it, but really
Defeating all the knights of the rounds with one unit? We're bleeding into gundam seed here. Also Nunally is alive, can't say that surprised me one bit. Maybe because I read the spoilers 5 or so pages back, but it didn't hit me that badly.

This episode was epic. Lelouch has the "aggressive negotiation" thing spot on. :) Also the faces of OotBK when they realize they have been played is priceless. And making Kaguya cry was awesome.

I hope that Nunnally will die. It gets old bringing the dead from the underworld. Whos next? Euphemie? Random geassed dude from season 1?

The Depth of Power - and HP/CG crossover story with only two chapters at this moment. It is lame, but at least the change in Harry's personality (from cannon-angsty-idiot to cold-bastard) is explained quite nice. It has the potential to be - at most - medicore fic.

Well, John, I can honestly say that the Lancelot thing didn't surprise me.

Note that Lancelot Albion is of the same strength as the Guren right now, while the previous versions of both KMFs were of equal strength to the Knights of Rounds, and the upgrade is pretty huge. Raping the shit out of the Knights of Rounds like that is pretty much expected.

On the Nunnally note: seriously, how the fuck did she live? The plane was right next to FLEIA when it exploded!

This chapter really didn't surprise me but I loved it.

Is Code Geass coming to and end after this season?

I liked it better then last episode though Damocles was disapointing. For once can we have a
    giant flying tower/fotress...thing
    that is practical?

Nunally was predictable, though the actual performance was good. Hawt Lulu/Kallen goodness (like we didn't see that coming).
    And Schneizal's an ass.
