I'm more than a little tempted to give this a flat-out Fuck. Yes.

But... I'm filled with a gooey trepidation instead:

    Ghostbusters 3

    Curse your antics Bill Murray!

Fuck, Damn you Bill. I want Mah GHOSTBUSTERS 3!v And I want it noaw! It's going to suck balls if they make it CGI. So why don't they just write his character out? Less hassle.

Ehh... I dunno. Ghostbusters without Bill Murray would be like masturbation without the pay-off. Sure, you're doing it, but why?

True but if they are still going to do it and use a crappy voice actor in a CGI, I would rather have him just written out.

    However,

Dr. Peter Venkman: "Let's show this prehistoric bitch how we do things downtown... THROW IT!"

They don't make 'em like they used to.

No truly they do not. And this thread reminds me to go ask this dude in town if he will sell me his Ecto-1 lookalike.

Ghostbusters 3? Why can't they leave the old good movies as classics?

Normally I'm all for CGI, but Ghostbusters 3? No, simply unacceptable.

(And I thought nothing could top the CGI failure that will be Star Wars...)

As long as they don't turn Slimer into a glow in the dark paint wearing, feather sprouting, Truman Capote parody nothing can top the failure that was Clone Wars.

If they mess with Slimer someone rather high in the studio management is going to be hurt.

Oh god if I see a big mutated CGI version of Slimer that ends up looking like a bad version of the caterpillar from 'a bugs life' I am going to kill someone!

OOOOOH HELLL NO! If they even think of that well /me goes down to the gun store and gets a Desert eagle. I'm going Dogma on their ass. Just walk in during a board meeting and list all of the sins they have Committed and then blow them away.

Great idea, call me if you're going to implement it. Though I have to wonder, why the fuck do you have to buy a desert eagle, when your house is a fricking armory...

Guns are fun, but such a travesty against Slimer would call for nothing less than a real-life ban hammer.

    Glorious...

    http://www.bscreview.com/2009/12/harold-ramis-says-ghostbusters-3-a-go-in-2011/

So I'll withhold judgment until it is actually in production, but if they're bringing back the whole original team (Bill Murray - fuck yeah!), then there is potential, I guess.

Although I can't name one good sequel that's pulled it off twenty years after the original. Buck the trend, Ghostbusters, buck the trend...
