we have a few incest shippings in Harry Potter Fandom; Weasleycest, Blackcest and Malfoycest. but what about Dumbledore incest? Aberfoth and Ariana, Ariana and Kendra, Albus and Aberfoth or Albus and Ariana.

I can't believe I'm actually putting this into writing, but the only 'acceptable' incest is Harry/Lily, though I suppose Blackcest isn't all that bad either.

But Christ! Dumbledore... the Weasley's (though that's canon I suppose :awesome )

 

None of the 'cests' you referenced are Harry-centric, so no by default, and an emphatic fuck no due to how disgusting that is.

I do not know if you are referring to senseless smut, or a plot that includes the smut. If it is the former, then the answer is no. Considering that I do not read smut of any kind unless it is part of the plot. There is also the problem of Ariana's mental impairment. If in your story, you feature an Ariana that has no hinderments of the mind, and can function as a regular human being. Then I will read it provided the plot and writing are good.

On second thought, I would like to read a story where Albus or Aberforth fall in love with Ariana. It could, if done right, make quite an interesting story about forbidden love. Of course this is presuming you are writing about a teenage Dumbledore. For despite my liberal attitude, I admit it is too much to ask of me if your story features a 115 year old Dumbledore. As for Aberforth and Albus, again provided the plot is good (which is rare considering my picky tendencies) I will read it if it is not pointless smut.

Edit: Also I would like to see a good story with a Kendra/Albus pairing. As well as to explore the emotional impact young Albus experiences when his mother dies. His sexual preference would of course have to be changed, but it would be nice to see how it plays out.

Even if you disregard the 'tears of blood' factor, which is very much there, it doesn't work. Dumbledore is gay, so the Ariana thing won't work. Aberforth is only into goats. And no one gives enough of a fuck about the other Dumbledores to read a story about them.

 

Your thoughts make baby Jesus cry. Let us all remember the structures of the Dumbledore family. Aberforth-copulates with goats; Ariana-crazy as hell, unknown element; Dumbledore-wrinkled old man, whose taste runs into nubile young men and ravishingly handsome dark lords.

The possible combinations would thus be:

Albus/Aberforth-not my cup of tea (baby Jesus pukes)
Aberforth/Ariana-impossible due to Aberforth's taste of goats.
Albus/Ariana-impossible due to nubile young boys getting in the way.

Thus the Dumbledore family is doomed to never receive its share of fandom incest.

Why couldn't you suggest something more palatable? Such as Fleur/Gabrielle. Or Attic Ghoul/Ginny?

 

Aberforth/Ariana-possible due to Aberforth's taste of goats, if she was a goat animagus
Albus/Aberforth - again possible if albus could turn into a goat
Albus/Aberforth/Ariana - possible if albus and Ariana had goat forms, also if Aberforth was bi-sexual.

So no matter the ick or how wrong it would be (shudders and pukes), still would be possible, however much we might wish it was otherwise.

For me personally, I don't care one way or the other about incest in Harry Potter fanfiction. As long as it's well written and has an engaging plot, I'll probably read it.

 

When I first read this, I was like "Who's Kendra?"

And then I was like "This guy needs to LEARN2CAPITALIZE...-.-"

Finally my eyes tracked back to "Weasleycest" and I about lost my midnight snack.
