I'm sorry but what? am I supposed to understand this? or is this your sarcastic use of a complacently illogical sentence.

... your 14, at the most.

I am so very insulted by being called 14. If you're looking at my maturity then I'm 6. Could you please use capitals, I can't read whatever you are trying to argue, the only thing you are proving is that you're illiterate. You must be 12 then, it's "you're" not "your". Or is English schooling that lacking?

You do know what "complacent" means? Guess not. You're a hypocrite as you obviously didn't use logic to come to your conclusion of "Bullshit".

You do realise that sarcasm is hard to detect on the internet? Especially when nobody knows you.

I think it was Taure that said that her style was that she was able to clearly explain everything easily using rather simple words, which is good for a childrens book.

Then what are you complaining about?

Yathzee put this best. "If you make something that everyone loves, you better make sure that it's the last thing you ever make in your life because people will crush you with expectations that you cannot hope to accomplish." <--- Paraphrased.

    Bullshit.

No more arguing for you young lady until you find something worthwhile to argue about,( or at least come up with some better burns.)

... no more needs to be said.

So, how old are you? Do you have pictural proof to back up your claim?

Also, (racial expletive) you best be joking. You're that up in arms over a comment made in an invisibility cloak discussion? You must be so old that when a 16 year old calls something you've written bullshit, that you grit your teeth and nurse your whiskey, while trying to pass that brick lodged in your stomach. Stop using your strap-on peen to lambaste those you feel are inferior to you, and discuss the topic.

    Bac2Topic:
Interesting topic. I would have never thought about that, considering the Harry Potter books have all but left my head. Nit-pickers to the very end, eh?

Edit: Damn, two post before I could respond to her....

Hauling this thread back on topic, I always though the cloak was just a superior and more durable invisibility cloak. Only when the were all together the deathly hallows had greater powers than being suped up items, (excluding the ring.)

If I'm young then hell has frozen over and if I'm a lady... *shudders* I wasn't trying to burn you, I'm genuinely having trouble reading your when you don't use punctuation and all the other crap that makes up a sentence. I'm not use to reading the the poor standards that you have, granny. Where I come from we can actually spell. Mummy said I shouldn't talk to weird old people on the internet as they might do bad things. Gotta love sarcasm. Zombie, I don't own a camera and haven't been photographed for a few years. Pheh, "youth".

I usually use italics with my sarcasm, but I've been lazy lately. Her writing style is just too simple for my liking and I've found books, while considered for children, have a much more developed vocabulary while being just as easy to read. People who have bought the book should get what they paid for. I didn't have high expectations, I only expected the quality to remain the same while providing an entertaining read. Neither were present.

I was under the impression the Hallows were just a higher more godly quality, except the ring as I doubt there is anything else like it. Having all 3 whether they become even more godly or not will still give you a major advantage, sticking a wand out and cursing someone from a cloak that can't be summoned seems to be a good advantage.

You cant read because I didn't use a capital letter... ok where they neglected my writing skills the obviously neglected your reading skills.

You said you didn't buy the book, since you were ripping her off you cant start bitching about expectations. I am tempted to quote you here since you have a habit of ninja editing posts but I will give you the benefit of the doubt.

I don't know how much of an advantage the cloak really would be, it makes you invisible yes, but there are many ways to 'see' someone, especially with alarms and multiple people have been shown to be able to see through the enchantment. It would give you a edge if you used it properly but there is nothing to say it isn't vulnerable to more volatile spells, and its also cumbersome I wouldn't want my uber cloak to catch on fire because it tripped me up.

I couldn't read that because without capitals there's nothing to make the individual parts stand out. It's a little hard to read something when it looks all mushed together. My reading is fine, just not my eyesight, which isn't getting better. My friend bought the book and I borrowed it off her for a reread after I lost my copy. Being the poor person she is I don't think it fair she pay the amount that she did for it, it was a complete ripoff.

What'd be even worse was if the said uber cloak was highly flammable. I suppose you have a point, the cloak doesn't block smells I'd imagine, if GoF is any indication. Didn't Mrs Norris smell Harry after his bath? Unless a spell can block scents, sneaking around people/things with good noses would be impossible.

Invisibility applies to vision, not any other fucking senses. That's why one still had to avoid hitting other people/objects while under the cloak and kept quiet.

    ... Woah.

    1. You didn't remember? Fair enough; in fact I didn't remember it too well either. My problem is, azrael did remember and he explained it to you -- and you wrote the post I quoted after his. So yes, you bitched about JKR's plotholes and lack of logic about a point that was neither a plothole nor a lack of logic. I could only assume that you had not understood.

    2. If you wanted to talk about her "sheer stupidity", something I find very stupid myself, this was clearly not the place. So at best, you're off-topic.

    3. So godly and exaggerated abilities (something I disagree about: if anything, JKR's always been fond of showing that uber powerful magical devices -- Invisibility Cloak excluded -- often led to the death/misfortune of their owners, and were best left alone; but then again you'd have to think a little before seeing that obvious message) are a demonstration of sheer stupidity to you? How odd.

By the way, if there's something that's full to the brim of godly and exaggerated abilities, it's the Harry Potter fandom...

    4. Which bit was sarcastic again?

    5. Yes, yes I'm quite sure, thanks for worrying. My murderous impulses have greatly decreased; my doctor said I was no longer dangerous as long as there were three or four persons around to control me when I started foaming at the mouth. For now, I'm not even twitching, see? At worst I might be idly contemplating the thought of pulling your teeth out one by one and shoving them up your nose.

I'm saving the canine teeth for your eyes. Canine tooth, eye tooth, geddit? It appeals to my aesthetic sense.

Your entire post= Meh. I honestly couldn't be bothered tonight, arguing with people in the vicinity of Europe gives me a headache without coffee. I've found over the years that they're all completely insane, especially the Croatians. Unless looking at your future posts magically cures my insomnia and coffee addiction, I don't care.

Though your 5. might not work so well. Hay fever would prevent the teeth from going up my nose while the fact that I'm pretty much blind already would screw with the other half. All in all I feel terribly threatened and expect to have horrific nightmares when I pass out from exhaustion.

... Well to be perfectly honest, I was rather more interested in the "pain" angle.

Crazy European thinks the thread has served its purpose.

Why is it that whenever I put any effort into a post it gets ignored? :(

And Nameless, I hereby dub thee "successful troll". May you bring pride and honour to the title. :awesome

Lock it and hall of shame it, unless anybody cares enough to haul this thread back on topic.

No way in hell is that true. Wheel of Time for one is far superior, not to mention Forgotten Realms. i'm sure the others can give some examples.

Edit: Nameless, ignore and leave alone until you dont come off as a troll.
