Peter is a dumbass, they basically just switched around his and Sylar's roles [including personality swap!].

Hiro doesn't have the ability to teleport others without himself - rather, he stops time, and assumedly, moves Adam back into the coffin. The show just didn't have to stop to show this every time though.

 

He didn't squint, and they have shown it nearly every single other time he's ever even attempted it. They always show what he does when time is stopped.

Claire yes is whiny and annoying, but the interaction with her going WTF when she sees Sylar is great, then they ruin it by having her turn stupid and trusting her dad.

 

Now that claires wearing leather jump suits all the time she's starting to look like a really tall midget in my opinion.

I kinda wish they'd age her. Nothing drastic but atleast something, because an eternal 15 year old might be appealing to the pedo's but theres something to be said about 20 year olds. Maybe change her personality a little. More mature perhaps....

Plus this whole, I want to be a vigilante thing to redeam my whole sylar head slice incident is pretty shitty. Its so convoluted and forced she's dead to me as a character now. Plus they keep calling her special... that in itselfs brings up short bus references.

Hiro is a bit of a douch now. I mean it was a horrible way to reintroduce his character, and the main plot for the season. His emo "ando kills me in the possible future" outlook is tiring. He keeps dragging the guy around with him even if he doesn't trust him. And now he supposedly kills him. Ando may be the only cool character left. because he's the most levelheaded. which is sad in a way.

I think the only good part of the entire new season may be when peter looses control and tries to axe off members of his family.

I really loved it when he went for his mom. She had it comming, simply because she's trying to be the uber secretive mystery figure with the homicidal super beings.

Theory time:
I was somewhat right on the brother bit with sylar and peter. Now I'm theorising that sylar can not only absorb their powers but their memories and experiences when he fiddles with their brain. Thats why peters trying to do the labotomies now.

Mr.Petrellie was the first person to get the gene theropy to become super, and he got some super deadly/awesome ability to explain why matts dad almost pissed himself around him. I say this because in the comics when he was with linderman, he had no abilities and they were grown men at the time. And no discernable abilities when they met up again when he had kids.

Maybe he has the ability to destroy abilities. Matts dad doesnt want to become powerless, then he has nothing.

African guy... I think he has a variant of the painters ability, where he secretes somekind of enzyme into that paste and with the music can see the future. The painter had his drugs this guy uses his music to triger it.

As to why so many people in the future had the ability to fly.

Well we've seen only a few super people and we've already got some similarities. It could be that the variety of abilities are actually pretty low. Among millions it could be that a good fraction have the exact same abilities. Speed, strength, flight, telepathy.... its the rare ones with the obscure powers like vortex's or radiation. But I'm leaning toward the purchaseable designer ability theory. Presumably if the goverment releases these abilities to the public they don't want everyone to get sylars ability or the power to go nuclear...

Well said. I agree to everything. And Ando is truly the only level headed character left. Heck, Ando is my favorite character now because of that one very reason. And he's likable so that doesn't hurt. But what i wonder is, how the hell does he put up with Hiro's BS? The interaction seemed a little forced. Any best friend in that situation would either have gotten into a yelling contest or a fist fight...or is that just me?

Actually I like Matt too cause he's a little funny and he's smart. But I forsee his charcter getting butchard so i'm reserving judgement.

Nathan would be cool if he wasn't such a tool all the time. Or always caught up in everyone else's machinations.

Probably, though we know it can't be Adam/Peter/Claire/Sylar. The vortex guy is gone so it's somewhat impossible to kill them now.

On a related note, I quite liked the vortex guy, though Claire wasn't so good at playing the vindictive bad girl >_>. It shows how the Company acts based on a person's abilities rather than who they are, which I think is a pretty important aspect of that.

 

I think that Arthur Petrelli didn't exhibit any powers because he has the same or a very similar ability to Peter. The whole, I have everyone's power would be enough to keep most everyone in line.

 

Then he shouldn't be in a bed with tubes and needles sticking into his bed.

He probebly has some other crazy power. Probably omnipotent to some degree.

 

Hmm... he just apparently drained the life out of Adam Munroe a la the Wraith, but he also has those psychic powers so I'm still leaning towards something similar to Peter.

Edit: I was essentially right, but instead of just copying powers, Arthur steals them. Come to think of it, that could just be an extension of Peter's current power, kind of like how Parkman's dad can do all that crazy shit that Parkman couldn't do at first.

 

Well... now we know where Sylar and Peter get it from.

 

I think Sylar, Peter and Nathan got their powers from the formula that gives people powers. And I don't think the dad, Sylar, or Peter's power are too similar.

The dad's power is to suck out the power of others. Peters power is empathy. By understanding the emotion that causes the power to manifest in others, he can mimic that emotion and thus use the power. Sylar's power, on the other hand, stems from logic. By understanding how the power works and where it comes from, he can learn to use it. There's sort of a play on duality there: one emotion, the other logic.

I think the the reason the dad gave his kids the formula was to use them as a middle man for him to get other people's powers. He gave Nathan the formula with the hope he would get Peter's power. It failed Nathan can just fly. He tried it on Sylar and it worked but the side effect (the hunger) was too much so he gave up on that. Then with Peter he was successful, but I think he's unaware of Peter's absorption of Sylar's power. What sucks is now Peter is powerless, as his dad also absorbed his copy power.

Claire sucked hard in this episode. Wow she took a bullet and came back, you want a fucking medal? Come on? And then after her dad congratulates her on a shitty accomplishment she has the gaul to give him a look and walk away. Fucking cunt needs an ass kicking.

Two questions that are killing me.
1. Why are they making a big deal about the African future painter guy? Both Peter and Sylar can paint the future, and now the dad can as well, but they keep on with the African guy?

2. Why does Sylar never use any of his other powers? He can freeze, paint, go nuclear, super hearing, shoot sound blasts, melt anything, yet he only uses that shitty Telekinesis (which used to be able to move cars, now it just slightly shoves you back).

 

I'm a bit surprised they ended the immortal dude, but I guess they were going for shock. Then again I personally don't think they used his character to his full extent. The entire second season was ho hum.

Speedster and matt aren't bad though. Her hair bugs me but still their decent.

I like the african guy, he knows how to utilise his powers. Though if hiro was a little smarter he could probably thwart him.

I predict if they plan to keep suresh, he's going to get his powers sucked out by peters dad and thats somehow going to save them all.

 

I'm pissed off they decided to kill him off. ugh lol ironically, my suspicions were right.
