Very well done. I loved how you portrayed how the Words worked. It's an interesting twist having the Denarian swear loyalty to Harry. It was also refreshingly amusing to see how immature he still is. There were a few typos but nothing big. Great job.

So the Words, when uttered, create a huge shockwave-ish blast? They can't do the same things as the latin magic words can, like transfiguration or charms? Or was it only that Word that causes a huge blast to come out?

I thought that the Words would be like the Latin magic except just more powerful and cause more or different effects that are not possible in Latin. But the way Harry and Merciel speak of the Word as only one word, not a language, and its past usage with Dumbledore, it seems like all it does is shoot a powerful blastwave.

Just kinda confused .

 

The only difference between using the words of an Ancient Language and in pseudo-Latin (as far as I understand it) is that they have a more powerful effect and do not necessarily need a wand to be cast. I imagine there would be specific spells for specific purposes, like the knock-out wave that Harry used, or the Psalm of Ar’uck’shei of Dumbledore's.

From the way its described, it doesn't seem like saying the Word causes a blast of sound. It seems more like the Word itself is the weapon. It seems to me its like if I just said "Accio"; it causes sound to ripple out. If it were a billion times older though, saying the sounds would be maginfied much more.

Well, it seems as though the magic in Latin isn't really powerful enough. What Harry used was one word, and my guess is that the language was so old that the magic was powerful enough to distort his voice that way, especially since he's changing his physiology to say it.

Well, pretty good so far but there's nothing I can really get my teeth into yet. Looking forward to the next part though, battling Rosanna should be amusing.

That was great I can just imagine Harry rolling across the burning ruins of the mansion in a battle tank. The fight with Rosanna should be good and Im very much looking forward to it.

What?! No this is bad, very very bad. You have brought up the possibility that harry couldn't transform any more a few times (with vesper I think) but you haven't outright said he couldn't and I always assumed he could but didn't preferring to use magic.

If this is due to so form of redemption or the "pureness" of the sword I'll have to start counting days until Harry becomes Gods right hand, redeems Snape then marries him. As that's the kind of fic where you would find such crap.

Still, I wonder why just owning the sword would prevent Harry from transforming. I mean I could understand that he might not be able to transform while physically holding the sword, but why could he not just drop the blade and then transform. I suppose it must be like Vesper implied and the powers of the blade have somehow "cleansed" Harry of the ability.

I don't really have a huge problem with that. I mean at this point Harry's magic is far more powerfull than the physical brute-force of the wyrm so really it is not all that big of a loss. I would however like a better explanation why its no longer possible. I mean would it not be a big deal for Harry that he can no longer transform as other denarians do? Not something just mentioned in passing.
