At first, the idea of going to HBP with a bunch of DLPers sounded like a good idea (we could probably get away with vandalizing Ginslut!), but then my brain engaged. Full stop.

Besides that, a ticket from the US to the UK is way more money that I'd want to spend for a plane ride. Then you gotta factor in all the touristy things, plus hotel and food...

I can't help but feel that a general DLP meetup would turn into awkward fail. Sure, a group of two or three might be fun - provided you knew who they were going to be, as you might have something in common besides Harry Potter. The bigger the group, the only common denominator is going to be that everyone agrees Harry should have been more of a badass than he was in canon... and while I agree with the sentiment, it's hardly something I'm going to publish in real life while hanging out with a bunch of strangers.
