I'll probably take my sister to it. We watched the last two together, so I guess we might as well for this one. Eh. I'll enjoy it, but I didn't really get anything from the trailer. Other than the fact that Dumbledore was about to battle the Balrog. Again I'll enjoy it, but I'll probably watch it just the once.

    YOU SHALL NOT PASS!

Yeah, got the same vibe. It looked... okay, but I think it was just the special effects like most everyone has said already. Attack of the Burrow is wtf, but I didn't expect them to be very canon-compliant after some of the threads mentioning how they changed up the story. Also, end scene was :awesome

I thought it was fake, because I saw Ian Mckellen.

Anyway, you guys are forgetting the added character, Laurasia. Here's to hoping that the girl gets a significant role, such as the girl Harry uses to make Ginny jealous.

Is it me or does Harry have a bowl cut?

Probably so he could keep bashing the movies. It's so fun to bitch about how JKR and the Warner are complete idiots.

Watched it, liked it, will go see it, and as for Radcliffe's haircut: it's a hell of a lot better than his lack of hair in OotP. As for the "LotR" resemblance... well, for once they were being canon-compliant. Remember, Dumbledore using rings of fire against the Inferi?

One thing I haven't seen at all is a logical progression; to someone who hasn't read HBP, the trailer doesn't make any sense. After the first few images in the cave, it's just a succession of flashes.

OotP had normal apparation as well (Fred and George). They just added an extra type of transport that colours you in handy friend/foe colours. OotP movie fight was still awesome, if only for the sense of speed that we got from watching the duels which isn't conveyed in the books fully. Half the spells travelled so fast that you only saw the flash of them leaving the wand and the flash of them being blocked.

Still looks like Dumbledore is a bad ass motherfucker with a wand. Maybe they'll change it so He and Voldemort have a final battle. Instead of no talent Potter.

The magic shown from Dumbledore and Voldemort in OOTP movie looks like it will follow on into this one. Awesome, it was the only good part of the last five movies.

Hermione/Ron kiss after the match is a lil' shit. And Harry should definitely use the fact he is the 'chosen one' to get his end away XD.

The trailer actually seems pretty decent and I might even go watch it. I'm not gonna let myself to be too optimistic as it is still mostly based on the book. However this might be one of the few times where I liked the movie better than the book. I guess we'll see.

Is that Fiendfyre Dumbledore is using at 00:19 or some other spell? (I asked this in IRC the other day, but no one answered me. *pout*)

If it weren't for the lack of flaming animals running rampant, and his stance on using "dark" magic, I'd say yes.

I would argue that it's the same spell as the fire whip he used against Voldemort in the MoM, only bigger for an AoE bonus.

Which I consider to be a form of conjuration rather than a simple charm (conjuring the element of fire, like Aguamenti conjures the element of water - remember that HP has a different system of elements to the Muggle world).

I fucking lol'ed when I saw 'AoE'. Dumbledore should be playable in WoW. D:

Anyway, trailer was actually pretty good. They normally are pretty good. I liked the ending, that was a nice touch, I thought.

HP is not an RPG Taure. It's magic, we don't know how the fuck it works because it goes against itself all the time.

Also, I lol'd at the end part. Makes me feel bad.

They seem to have noticed the romance coming out of no where bit wont sell to most fans, after all it didn't in the books and a movie its easier to notice the total randomness of its appearance. Like an earlier poster said, it seems to focus on the action, which considering HBP, will cut down the movie quite a bit.
However trailers can be deceiving and I wont judge the movie on the trailer. After all if the trailer makers saw the movie and went "This Sucked." They would still be forced to make a trailer, and out of the few good bits in the movie.
As long as they ignore the whole, 'Who is the HBP', subplot and don't focus on Dumbledore's hand a heap, it may be better then the book. However as they could not change the name, and not be sued, I am sure that damn HBP subplot will be there.

The book number 3 is pretty good but the movie sucks.. maybe it will be the opposite with HBP?

If Dumbledores talking about the archway when he says "This is magic unlike any I have seen before" then that bit will annoy me. Dumbledore was quite dissapointed in the crudeness of the blood archway and seemingly expected more from Tom.

In before Harry/Laurasia (who I'm assuming was the famedigger at the end).

Harry should definitely act like that more often.

When did he say that? The only thing I heard similar to that was when he said 'This is beyond anything I imagined. This is a different kind of magic. Very dark, very powerful.'
