Nah, I just think it's because all the superheroes were created by American companies to appeal to American audiences. And thus, they were created to inhabit familiar American cities, like Gotham (NY) and Metropolis (Chicago).

 

Could be. I wasn't sure about Metropolis, thought it was NYC.

Why would we want too? I got this off the DLP archive on my PDA just before the Dark Knight was released. Frankly, it sucked balls. Neither funny or interesting, it completely wasted the crossover. Barely scrapes a 1/5 for me.

If you want to read a good HP/Batman fic, go read Harry Potter and The Dark Knight.

Yeah, this produced a few chuckles, but it got way too zany way too quickly. If the story had stayed a bit more focused on an actual plot it might have been halfway decent; the basic premise could work out quite well in the hands of a good author.

If not for the fact I have nowhere near the time to actually carry it out (look how infrequent updates are showing up on my current fic; damn Grad School eating up my free time!) I might take a crack at taking the basic premise of Poison Ivy adopting Harry and make it into a good story.
