I thought it was because he was in her mind, and with Parkman there distracting him, she was able to take control of her mind, and force him to let her go. Probably not true, but I like to lie to myself to make that scene slightly more bearable

I'm now beginning to understand why this show is hemorrhaging ratings. The plot just isn't there, and when you mess with time travel you risk making the plot convoluted which is what occurred here. Every episode you have someone switching sides, or some new "twist" which just sucks.

The only thing I really like about this episode was that they did a decent job of connecting the "Save the cheerleader, save the world" plot point that they had completely neglected. But I can't help but notice that Mr.s Petrelli's team sucks ass. Let's look at the lineup

Oh and why did Kristen Bell get her powers back under control?

 

Her names Elle and I think Sylar, like his father said was an empath to the abilities. Meaning he can heal, take, block abilities, etc. I think he healed her as he took the power for himself.

 

I didn't know you guys had a thread for Heroes. But I'm shocked that you guys are so nice. The forums at TWoP are out for Kring's blood after last night's episode. I thought it was awful and they've somehow managed to shoot their whole timeline to hell. They did the whole instaLove! Harry/Ginny crap to Parkman and Daphne, Arthur Petrelli seems like an extra from The Goodfellas, Mohinder is turning into the Fly, Claire is the ultimate Mary Sue, and Peter is still an idiot.

Actually the only redeeming quality is ZQ. He's the best actor on the show.

 

He's the best actor playing the best character. The fact that all the other characters can play their butchered characters so well is simply a sign of their talent.... or lack their of.

As for Elle regaining her control of her powers, taken in context of the scene it would seem more like Elle's issues/anger/guilt was what was causing the mental instability/control loss. Fixed by your friendly neighborhood serial killer though.

Apparently superhumans lose their powers during a solar eclipse (that's somehow happening two/three years after the last one...). That's right, superpowers are SOLAR POWERED!!

 

Why, WHY, do they keep making Hiro such a total fucking moron.

If they have read any of the reviews over the past 2 seasons they know he is the weakest link. So what do they do? They make him even more pathetic.

He has had not a single good moment this season.

Infact two of the biggest fuck ups were his.

*Letting the formula out.

*Letting Monroe out.

 

I know how you feel. Hiro annoys the shit out of me. They should kill him off since he just seems to get stupider and stupider each episode, kind o flike Homer Simpson.

Agreed. But it's pretty obvious that Hiro is an important factor to the show. But why they did this to him is beyond me. A ten year old with the power to time travel....jeez...and poor Ando has to take care of him.

 

Hiro is just as annoying as ever in the new episode. And the Daphne scene was okay but it dragged on way to long.

Mohinder is a giant WTF moment. So he's not bugman anymore all due to the eclipse? Then why was he in the future we saw? The eclipse would have happened then as well.

 

Chances are, Mohinder gets his "powers" back along with everyone else.

 

I can understand why Mohinder wouldn't fight those guys when they have their powers but right now their vanilla humans. One of them is a retartded thug who has only really ever used his powers to get by, and the others a Old guy who likes to look important.

I'd brain them with something and go... Then try and find a way to blow up the sun!

Didn't they say Hiro would become more like the Original Older hero by season 3 way back when everyone was still spouting off Save the cheerleader save the world.

So far all he's done is become stupider, pull pranks on a bowling alley and loose important parts of a secret formula that will eventually lead to the world blowing up.

IF this is what older kick ass hiro was going to be like, I'm out.

I actually respect peter a little bit for standing up to Nathan in the jungle.

Even though he's an emo fag, Nathans a useless tool. He can fly but really never really does anything with his power. He was usefull a handfull of times and then went back to screwing the pooch.

But the best part of this episode that had me orgasming was Bennet with the sniper rifle. That was bitchin. But unfortunately I know the occupants are going to live and were back to square one.

Honestly, It would be better if everyone would stop making aliances and big companies, that seems to be where everything goes to hell.

No one on heroes should ever use teamwork. They should all just go to work, and use their powers to get nooky. That is all...

 

For Peter Petrelli there is no such thing as a quickie.

Also, who reckons that the eclipse will be like a giant reset button for powers? Say for Peter and Sylar, they'll lose all the powers they've collected, as well as Arthur.

 

Nah Peter already lost his powers, Arthur will die by the end of the season, and Sylar never uses anything else besides telekinesis and immortality.

 

Yeah its annoying to see the power sponges like Peter and Syler only stick to 1 or 2 powers.

That fight scene we see in the future in series 1 was awesome. They both used every power they had pretty much.

 

I think their taxing their budgets too much. Can you imagine the costs for producing this show...

That might be why they stick to a few power favorites, they can't afford the cg effects anymore. Especially with the dwindling fanbase since it started to suck.

Flame electricity, and the random flight here or there. Everything else sparingly.

Speed is easy enough, they just copy the smallville route.

As for the eclipse, I think the thing were overlooking which I'm dreading is new cast members. Maybee a spunky teen cohort with some uber ability that becomes a regular. Or more than likely they'll introduce a copy of another power already done before.

Yeah its probably budget but it would still be cool if they gave us a IU explanation. Like it takes time to master powers thus they stick to the ones they know the best.

 

There wasn't a single ounce of unpredictability in the last episode. There was no way they would never ever kill Claire, especially now that she is the catalyst.

I knew they wouldn't kill Sylar simply because he is the best character on the show. In a way I almost wish they would kill him, so I don't have to watch this utter piece of shit anymore.

I saw Sylar killing Elle, from a mile away, simply because Bell is going to go spend more time making movies, and the writers had to write her out.

I don't recall a series falling as bad this one has. The worst part is that I'm losing hope that the writers can right this ship. If they were capable of doing it, then Season 3 would have been the best opportunity.

 

I still wanna know what happened to those brains when he sliced opened the heroes heads.

I actually like Nathan now that he decided which side he stands on. And he made a reasonable argument for choosing his side too.

I think he's a bit misguided but still he chose. I just hope he doesn't flip flop again.

Actually this series is starting to look alot like 4400. The super elite army squad that are given powers. the factional sides of the super hero army.

Nathan's a little bitch, but at least you can see why, he talks it out. Peter's hit and miss, the Haitian's evidentally been given a power boost and is much more combat capable evidentally now.

Claire fucking fails. Hiro and the 9th wonder bullshit.... Find the bike messenger save the world! GAY.

And once again you got schitzo Sylar. I liked him trying to be a good guy and struggling with it. Added a lot more to his character. Then he infiltrates supposedly Pinehearst when he doesn't kill Peter. Awesome. but... but... the girl that manipulated him in the first place to becoming a serial killer, and kept him alive, oh he's in love with her... in all of real time what? A few days? Weak.

AND WHAT THE FUCK WITH THE SNIPER RIFLE?? Noah had his head in his sights, then suddenly they're having sex, the red dot hits his head? So Noah goes from sniping to jerking off, don't take a shot while they're totally distracted, takes a sniper shot, bursts in, and then just barely beats an untrained opponent who's still suffering from a dislocated arm....

Perhaps it can take all day but I haven't seen too many eclipse that are seen almost all around the globe, and come seasonally. The Haitian didn't get a power boost, he's always had the mind wiping ability, he just used it more aggressively this time. Sylar sucked. Pure and simple; it seems the writers don't know where to take his character so they keep switching back and forth. Pick one already.

The shit with Seth Green pissed me off but what can you do. Nathan sucks ass t0o. He comes to the most fucking retarded conclusions ever. Oh powers are a great idea, seeing as how if no one had powers in the first place none of these issues would be fucking happening.

Claire' story sucked and I really would of liked to see how they snuck out of a hospital with police men right in front of them, but oh well. Let's not also forget the multitude of question that will surely arise when then government finds out she's technically not dead, after being cut open and being infected by every disease imaginable.

I actually liked the Speedster story (hated Parkman though). She presented a somewhat realistic story where she hasn't had some absurd plot twist happen in her life. She just lucked out of a shitty disease, and is estranged with her dad. Oh yeah and she steals.


Side note:

WTF happened to Molly, the girl who could find powers. I would think the dad would love to have her power. I guess not. I'm sure no one will question how Peter got to Haiti without a plane, nor does Nathan apparently need any sort of guidance to find how to get back to the U.S.
