Main problem with giving the older bunch hell is that Bill and Charlie are a good ways away. Bill and Charlie might actually be a challenge however small of a challenge.

They seem to be the kind of people who'd throw a bigger hissy fit trying to show everyone who the man is. I hate stories where Harry's all talk and no action but I understand why Jbern's Harry in this fic would take the high route and ignore little childish pranks.

On the other hand, with the memories of his father and the sheer knowledge and skills that those memories bring, he could probably utterly crush and humiliate them with very little effort. Especially since he has the assistance and friendship of the hat who with his millennia of experience could probably come up with some very nasty things to do.

I mean at this point it should have become obvious to Harry that just ignoring them wont make them give up and go away. Striking back would at the very least force the twins to spend time de-cursing their possessions, defending themselves and such, time that they would otherwise have been able to spend attacking Harry.

 

Just a random remark: the thing that is most likely to be missed by Harry(as opposed to HJ) is probably the Invisibility Cloak, the Firebolt (my favorite,) or Hedwig. Although the Wizarding World might actually disapprove of abusing a post owl.

The Wizarding world makes potions ingredients out of various magical animals, most with more appeal than an owl, and straight up abuse another sentient species. I don't think owl abuse will be a concern.
