It's funny. Krum and Fleur are the same ages. As are Harry and Hermione. But Krum/Hermione is pedophilia, but Harry/Fluer is not? I sense a double standard.

Those are the best kind of standards though.

Actually, Hermione is a year older than Harry. So if anything, it's less of an issue.

    Still, double standards is win.

Ever see the South Park episode where the hottie kindergarten teacher ends up in bed with Stan's little toddler brother?

The police: "He scored with her? Nice..."

Yes, double standards exist. Why? Because teenage boys will stand up smiling in court and admit that yes, they got a piece. Girls...little more problematic in most cases.

Anyway, I'm following these improved Triwizard events closely, even if I've not made the time available to finish writing my own stories :)

Keep it up like you're on Cialis, jbern.

I really enjoy the new types of tasks. They are so much better and more indepth than the three from GoF.

It was also good to see HJP and Fleur make that connection.

I personally think you should have some sort of underground/trap/thing as one of the tasks. You did a broom race, did dementors, did dueling. But wheres the whole "escape from a trap in two hours or you die." Its like the underwater one, but not as lame.

Hope to see more stuff on Lupin as well and what did Flitwick have to do with it???

Flitwick was Sarah Underhill's Head of House.

I want to see more anti-Snape.

I do so hope though that Harry transforms in front of Gabrielle accidentally and when he next enters the grotto...*Wince*

It was about time we saw a connection between Harry and Fleur. I can't wait to see Bill's reaction to Harry with Fleur.

And I agree, it's about time he stopped the warning shots and hit their ship below the waterline.

Maybe start spreading rumours about Molly? Or better yet, polyjuice them into someone? Perhaps a situation-activated ampoule of Polyjuice? *Evil grin*

This may be biased but I do prefer TLIL to TML, just due to the fact that Harry/ Fleur rocks. And please...double standards always win out. In this case with a Veela...he'd be considered the next Don Juan.

    Regards
    A

I agree. So far he has not been any extensive danger, he could escape when he wanted to when he got to a certain point, don't get me wrong the Rune challenge could have murdered him, but having him in a situation where everything goes to shit would be great.

And I don't mean goes to shit by accident like the dementor fiasco. I am talking about underwater and your air supply runs out, that kind of going to shit.

Make HJ really pull out something that even he did not know he had. But maybe thats being saved for the end like in Bungle in the jungle?

JBern has to be very careful if he employs this kind of tactic. If he pulls a Deus Ex Macina out of his ass then it may well ruin the story for me, a la JKR.

But, if he does something along the lines of BitJ, where it is a slight alteration to an already known power, then that could work excellently. As it did in Bungle.

But it has to be a rather well used power or skill that is altered. Changing something that was only mentioned once in the story is jus a prolonged Deus Ex Machina.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm working on chapter 10 of TML at the moment, but should be done with that shortly.

I just finished up a superhero novella that is now undergoing editing. Dead Eye is also still stuck in edits/rewrites, but I'm eager to find out how big the fanbase actually is.

The next task up is the Dragon challenge. Expect it to go horribly wrong for someone.

Excellent. Hope Dead eye comes out soon though it was supposed to be released a few months ago was it not? But I guess you can't rush art.

Well, I think I can speak for most people when I say it is quite past time for a good mauling. The last one was... BitJ Panther Harry meets the Crime Lord's Family?

And I mean a proper, one sided mauling, none of this oh hey you might have a chance shit. xP

Hrn, are these "The Editor tries to control the author's brain." rewrites or "This could be improved, lets do it." rewrites? -,- The former can be trying.

I don't like him either, but there is just so much tension, and not the sexual one, that would probably be missing if the fucker just offed himself.

Seeing him humiliated longer in realistic ways is so much more enjoyable in my opinion. I have seen too many prank fics that make me vomit, its nice to see someone getting trashed in style.

If you kill off Krum that part of the story dies and a whole conflict is over. I like Krum so much in this story, cause it is so much easier to hate him.

I think knocking down one of tag alongs (the ones not chosen by the GoF) from Durmstrang or Beaubaxtons would be good.

In all honesty, he's limited in the choices he has. He can't kill Krum, because Krum represents a major source of conflict with Harry. He can't kill off Fleur, because she is Harry's love interest. That and we would revolt if he killed off Fleur before Harry could shag her. And naturally, he can't kill off Harry, becuase he's the main character.

So naturally, that leaves Cedric, Athena and Aimee. Cedric is slotted to die by Wormtails hands, so he's probably safe, unless Jbern has other plans in mind. My personal bet is that Aimee dies. She's relatively close (compared to the rest of the champions) to Harry, so her death would effect the story most. As she is Fluer's friend, that increase her likelyhood of death. All she has to do now to confirm it is show harry a picture of the boy waiting for her at home...oh wait.:awesome

Then again, Jbern could totally throw off my predictions if "Horribly wrong" doesn't result in death. oh well.

tl;dr Aimee is the most likely to die, if anyone is to die at all.

Well we can safely say HJ has to dig horns into before she can die. I mean its been building and would be so pathetic if she just dies in the next task or something.

Plus there will be a bonus if she is a virgin. Turn me Loose seems to show the post-school girl versions for the two.

I like how they are more pure and innocent in this one.

My money's on Athena dying, if anyone kicks the bucket. Why? The following can't die:

    Harry: Main Character
    Fleur: Main Character's eventual squeeze
    Krum: Major source of conflict
    Cedric: Reserved for Voldemort

Aimee's where things get grey. I beleive that Jim is going to have Aimee betray Harry and Fleur, possibly send Harry to the graveyard. The reasoning for that is tenuous, but simple. Jim likes to use his characters from other stories in whatever he's working on. The Kwan/Collins appearance is the most blatant one, but Aimee is a rehash as well. She was the friend of Fleur's in 'To fight the coming darkness' that sent her to Voldemort, and I see no reason she can't have a similar purpose here. It's weak reasoning, but it works for me.

As Aimee will eventually stab Harry and Fleur in the back, Athena kicks the bucket by process of elimination.

Wouldn't that make the whole interaction with her grandfather pointless though?
