As for the teaser, firstly fuck you Jbern I thought it was a proper chapter, and secondly, I ain't gonna read it yet. I can't read a teaser without the rest of the chapter, ruins it for me.

 

They've only had TML and only for the past few days. I'm still writing Lie 17 and am at about 5000 words. It'll be around 10k when I'm done. They won't get Lie until the middle of next week by my best half-assed guestimate.

I'm not really sure how I feel about the same trick being used twice in a row, if that's where this is going.

Then again, I can't really see how HJ would manage to pull off taking advantage of that "soft spot" on a massive, fire-breathing dragon by his lonesome.

Also, the judges might frown upon him killing it. Overkill, anyone?

Right now I'm thinking (hoping) that something different will be done, but that's just me.


@ jbern: I was referring to the TML chapter, which I think you said you sent to the betas on Monday. Regardless, it's a non-issue now.

Unless your talking about HJ making it swallow a bomb or sending a curse into it, that has been done a lot and Jbern comes with ideas that most don't think of, just look at the latest Turn me Loose 10 or was it 11?

Personally im gunning for a bit of tongue action on the part of the dragon, something involving HJ removing it and tickling its ovaries while whispering sweet nothing in paseltongue.

Interesting, I wonder if you'll reuse TML giant trick or use Basilisk trick from Chamber of Secrets.

 

The answer is neither. I have something else in mind for the Fireball. I managed some productive writing time yesterday - the chapter is around 8000 words now. Hopefully, I'll finish it off by Monday and have it off for editing. It should be ready by Thursday or Friday next week - probably sooner, but I'll be able to get a jump on TML 11.

 

Why will you people not accept that fact that HJ will cast a spell with a power level over 9000 and blow the dragons head off.
