world savior? Why not start out small, like he gets betrayed by one of the cool super villains, and accidentally does something good? Then this person tells others and they start talking to him, possibly bribes at first, before hes helping these guys. This of course pisses off the superheroes and the villains.

I don't know if I would want a D-list villain saving the world for me. The city? Sure.

    Oh for fuck's sake.
Svetlanna was Baba yaga, and metamorphmagus. Fucking old cougar.
Slightly disappointing chapter overall, although this:

He cringes. "That's almost everything we brought with us! Harry, you should have worn the old crone down a little."

    "I did."
    - made me lol a bit.

It felt shorter than most of the other chapters, but I liked the content. lol@Harry hitting it one last time. You had a couple of really decent one-liners in there as well.

    Good chapter.

Not a bad chapter at all,
points to whoever called her being Baba Yaga

Overall a few shocks here & there, and then some you just saw coming head on. Things seem to be wrapping up fairly quickly though what with the 'final act of the story'

Perhaps a Trilogy? Oh well, looking forward to the Lie update.

I'm waiting for a companion one shot where Harry finds out how many magical STD's he has managed to pick up during this series. Talk about someone without any standards...well you get the point.

    "How bad is it Healer?"

"Well Mr. Potter, I've got bad news, and then I've got worse news."

Pansy Parkinson managing to stumble on the homonculus and steal it out from under the house elves' noses
sounds like complete bullshit to me. I'm wondering if Dumbledore had his hand in it.

It also seems to me that with this new arc, Harry is simply going to stumble onto the cup, which would be sort of lame.

Still, looking forward to seeing how the end of the story fleshes out.

I have a quetion, I didn't read past the first chapter of sequel because it apeared it would be Luna/Harry pairing highlighted more than in Bungle. Is there?

Luna/Harry is such a major turn off for me that i don't wan't to read about it, despite that Luna is whole lot different than in Canon (she's even too OC for my liking). I don't liked her in Cannon and i cannot say I liked it in bungle; actually it was the only thing I didn't like about prequel.

There's Luna/Harry interaction, but their relationship (or lack thereof) is not a major part of the story.

He kicked her to the curb a few chapters back and has had at least a couple other ladies in his life since then.

I really enjoy these wise-ass, second-person stories. I can hardly wait for the day Harry wipes the floor with Snape, all the while providing a running commentary on the fucker's lack of hygiene and inter-personal skills.

That said, I thought the chapter seemed a little rushed, and that the actual meeting at Baba Yaga's crib was over before I really grasped that she was Svetlanna. But then again, maybe JBern felt their previous "meeting" was enough. Sorry, couldn't resist that.

Let me go ahead and apologize for not placing that in a "spoiler" box, since I don't know how to do that. But really, is anyone reading this far into a thread and not also reading the fic?

I second the notion that Dumbledore had a hand in the disappearance of Harry's Ralph... thing. I seriously doubt that Pansy Parkinson is smart enough to steal or even find the thing without a ton of help.

Anyway, I felt the chapter was somewhat shorter than some previous ones, but chapter length varies and that's fine. The content was nice, and Harry's use of his rage about Moody was cool, as were the musings of how his inner animal might be a product of the Dursleys.

One question: Does Baba Yaga know that Harry has quite a bit more Daemon bone left (and/or available) to use in making weapons to power/poison for use against the Daemon, because she still makes him give her an arm and a leg, or did she initially want more and takes pity (for lack of a better word?) on him and settles for that much? After repeated bonings, of course.

Anyway, aside from a few typos (typoes?), I thought it was excellent, and I really look forward to the completed next chapter of TLIL.

And he's totally setting this one up too.

"Poison them with the blood of a failed thief and that of a repentant liar and pray that you'll never have to use it. Now, let us barter for the Horcrux."

    Snape and Mundungus anyone?

bbcode for spoiler is [*spoiler][*/spoiler] without the asterisks.

I enjoyed the chapter, but would have preferred if Baba Yaga had been some one else. It seemed a bit corny to have it be her. Other than that, very exciting. Upset that Moody died, I was hoping for him to join the team full time and ditch Dumbledore. I am a bit suprised at the Goblin uprising thing.. it sounds odd. I am wondering if that is ... not what it seems?

The whole Baba Yaga is Svletlanna was seen coming by a lot of us I think, and I wonder had it not been better that Svletlanna was instead Baba Yaga's granddaughter instead of being the witch herself.

I don't know how I didn't guess that Svetlana was Baba. I particularly enjoy JBern's fight scenes. They have more color to them than most authors' fight scenes.

I agree, the fight scenes are quite good. They are able to both convey the feelings of the players, but also just the realtime action.

Why, I believe that would be me.

I almost never bother 'calling' anything, but I called this one so... I called it. I'm just sayin'... :awesome

    Word.
I would hope Dumbledore isn't such an arrogant, self-important, prick that he would allow something like that to be handed over to the enemy, just so he can have his own way in regards to Harry's activities.

Of course, he could also have simply confiscated the thing and then lied about Parkinson, leaving her (and likely Hermione) to suffer Harry's wrath.

He could even double-dip by using this to not only keep Harry in the castle to charge the wards (and in one place, since the wards were just his method of tethering Harry anyway), but also to set Harry upon Pansy (if AD needs her out of the way for whatever reason).

Even if he doesn't necessarily have an issue with Pansy, if Harry did something to her and it got out, then Albus could put Harry even more firmly under his thumb by bailing him out... for a price.

Probably more complicated than what's actually going on but, frankly, whatever the truth is, I hope this Dumbledore dies screaming, crying, and with his reputation in tatters. Whether or not it's at Harry's hands is neither here nor there to me, as long as it isn't a heroic/noble death.
Having said that, I'd rather it be Dumbledore's meddling again than a lazy Deus Ex Machina. Regardless, someone dropped the fucking ball. *Sigh* Hermione, baby, why you gotta make me hurt you?

I was thinking more along the lines of Hermione for the latter (and maybe Dumbledore for the former).
She'd be feeling especially repentant if she's the one who fucked up and let the homunculus get nabbed. Repentant is just about the last thing I'd call Snape.
As for why Dumbledore came to my mind; well, he did sort of get away with stealing Harry's money, but he also got caught in the act. I guess it depends on your definition of failure.

The reptetant liar and failed thief could be one and the same you know, which leads me to believe that it will be Remus Lupin. But that could just be my hatred of Remus Lupin in Fandom and Canon rising up.
