Just had a look at it. Aside from all the eloquently stated reasons for fail above, the Knowledge Market is blatantly nicked from BajaB's Two Weeks In The Alley. Specially trained squibs indeed.

Failing grad student obviously failed Con Law.

 

I happened to glance at the second chapter, and found that Harry apparently has a snake named Orochi. I snickered and quit reading.

 

What? Oh. Wrong story. Yeah this story is terrible.

 

The writing is bad, the plot is based on clichés, and most of the smut is absurd.

The story matches its summary: "use of imperius curse for sexual pleasure" - I doubt the author is able to understand why that line made me laugh.

True, it's decently written, if you've few standards. But its also a conglomerate of other authors' good ideas taken and put into a rather bleh ridiculouslyuberz!Harry with an odd prepubescent fascination with rape and sex. The poorly written smut, which like most of the story runs together making it nigh unreadable, is pretty run-of-the-mill, even if it is the most inventive part of the story, for the author.

2/5 for me. I've read worse, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone here.

As to failinggradstudents' remark that only a few select authors get picked as "good enough" for the library...well, I'm proof that isn't true, because after lurking here for awhile (and actually, you know, learning what the standards of the website were while lurking) I submitted two of my stories which both made it into the library. Working on a third, but I'm only a chapter into it so far. But the comment that some authors regularly produce library-quality work definitely has merit.

Hum...I must say the title is accurate. This truly is a dark pleasure. Despite its mediocrity, and being a jumble of other authors ideas, and definitely not being library worthy. I just can't help but love this story.

Lets see, mudblood being cursed with nymphomania. That is too precious. I hate her buck-toothed, bushy haired, know-it-all, bossy ass so much it borders on a complex. And Bumblefuck's prescious little kitty getting squashed? That was most excellent.

I give this a 2.7/5. The score might increase if there is more gratioutious violence, gore, and Gryffindork torturing. And even more dark arts useage would go along way to improving this story it its maximum potential.

Of course I happen to be biased toward any fic where Potter is sorted into his propper house.

 

Please someone enlighten me, how is this better than a fangirl squealing over how Harry and Ginny are just meant to be together.
