Any of you got it?

I bought it on saturday, and I'm loving it so far. I've done No Mercy, Dear Air and Blood Harvest on normal and Dead Air on advanced.

You NEED a mic to play properly I've found, and its 100% more fun with friends. Met some griefers so far, nothing big (mainly people not getting in the fucking saferoom when they're supposed to).

Versus mode is fun but needs 8v8 otherwise the zombies get ROLLED by the survivors.

Bought it when it came out here, and it's fucking amazing. Knox and Havoc need to get this so we can actually have a decent team together. The only problems I've had is that some teammates are fucking retards, and refuse to stick with the group or run to the saferoom or save someone from the Hunters or Smoker. Although I disagree with your point on versus, I've consistently won with 3 Infected and 4 Survivors by virtue of teamwork.

 

Well the thing is that the infected in versus can get easily stuck on some levels which are open plan, which is where I tend to wish I had a fourth man.

And I dunno if my mic isn't working or if people are stupid, but some of the facepalms I've had to do so far are cringeworthy. ("Guys at the front crouch" - the back people crouch and shoot me in the legs).

Its a fun game though, no denying, as long as you get people who communicate.

Oh and as far as I know people being smokered or hunter'd are invincible, so blaze away at them.

 

I should get this... I really should. Maybe when I go home for thanksgiving. But definetly getting it for Christmas if I dont get it soon.

 

Yea I've got it too and it is pretty freaking awesome. And people on the internet being stupid and not listening? I'd never believe that.

Fuck yes! I am disappointed in the campaign, mostly because theirs no story or plot at all. And coming from one who played the demo, their was nothing new except for new levels =/. But i am loving the versus mode, its so much fun being a boomer and pissing the survivors off =).

Btw, theres a glitch where you can revive survivors while your an infected, just hold E.

I'm getting this and a new mic for my PC on Saturday. Does anyone want to try to see which DLP member would do best in a zombie apocalypse sometime this weekend?

Expert mode is always fun with good players.

 

The game is great.

The best part has got to be the writing on the walls in the save houses.

Has anyone had any luck playing this on... unofficial servers?

 

I honestly didn't think that it looked that good, but if it's as good as you guys say it is, I may give it a try. Is it very good as a single player game as opposed to multiplayer? I don't have Xbox Gold so I can't play online.

 

Unless you're able to get LANs going, I would suggest that you don't get it.

Most of the fun is playing with friends.

 

I played it a friends house. It was an ok game. The graphics were sup-par but the gameplay made up for it. It has interesting game types and online play is pretty good. It doesn't lag which is a plus.

 

Can you use Hamachi with the co-op option? I went out and priced this today but at $100 around Christmas time, there's no way I could get it without skipping over somebody's present. There's a 900mb Skulluptra rip on isohunt I might download though

 

Off-topic: So what's the best online FPS out? Spent some time abroad and a load of new shit is out.
