I wonder if this third one is the one he was originally supposed to turn into when they first started animagus forms. I remember something about that Rahkesh thought it was cold and had 4 legs...but whether that has anything to do with it I have no idea.

 

Yep i remember that mow that you mention it, its a possibility but then again it doesn't much match the available options given by S. The Basilisk wasn't his to begin with anyway, wasn't it bought about because of Voldemort and the need to have a balance for the Thunder bird?

There was also that uber-gay moment in the second to last chapter where he gazed deeply into Nicks eyes and opened his soul for the man he left behind. Anyways Harry states the chaos, the Thunder bird are his soul, begs the question of if it was a slight exaggeration on authors part if she's plans on doing something spectacular.

 

The basilisk is his parcelmouth form. All parcelmouths have a snake form, Harry is of course not normal and has a bigger, badder snake form than nearly everyone else.

I think he was being highly sarcastic when he asked that question, especially since 99% of us dont really consider this HP anymore.

AN of the last chapter said that someone had finally guessed what his next (last? first?) form is, of all those mentioned in the reviews for the last chapter I thought the death dragon was the most likely, and I'm willing to bet on a Nick slash pairing when the author remakes the 'Adult' version after finishing the story, though my money is also on a Bi- harry.

 

Have you read nothing? She said it wasnt a death dragon and said it had only just been guessed. Read my list of possibles.

 

yes actually I did read all of it, both the story and this thread, I apparently missed the part where she ruled out the dragon, no need to raise your blood pressure over a mis-understanding.

Regardless, I'm very much so relieved that the 'death dragon' is ruled out, I agree that a copy of the whole planet is more than a tad ridiculous, and I get the oddest feeling that 'Rakesh' could actually still have children... with the newly awakened 'New race'

Niddhog it is then. Flairgold's been dropping omfg!dragon hints with the subtlety of bricks for at least 3 or 4 chapters.

 

Or for 2 fics, even. No exaggeration necessary.

 

I dont see how it could be.

It just seems to be a bog standard dragon, sure it might be a bit special but his other two forms seem better than that.

The only special part is the dragon in the legend chews the roots of the world tree. Which I dont see as a special ability.


The third form is supposed to be so amazing only 1 (maybe 2) have even been in the history of magic, something so amzing it freaks the elves out and worries Namach.

This just seems to tame.

 

arrgh, maybe I should remove this fic from my favourites. This whole discussion shows again that the story is essentially one big pile of deus ex machina plot devices. Rahkesh's third super animagus form only underlines it.

It's one of my guilty pleasure fics, though, so I'll keep reading. Even if I have to roll my eyes at every paragraph.

How so? I doubt she will change him permently, that would just fuck everything around.

If there is a super animagus that would mean he also has that other original one that he first had giving 4 total, which yet again shows how uber he is.

Personally I think the first one is a Dire wolf type thing, it at least gives him one subtle animal.

 

I think the thing with Nidhogg is that he is practically the king of dragons. So she could always pull some BS about him having all the powers of the lesser dragons or something.

Personally I would like to see Jormungandr, simply because it would be hilarious to see him transform.

 

Well that would be one way for him to fight the demons...
