Wouldn't it be easier to just have a stunt double for Bonnie? That way no one suffers.

There are some things no paycheck can cover, doubling Dan so he doesn't have to kiss Bonnie is one of them.

    No quidditch in DH, IIRC.

But this is the movie, remember?

It will obviously feature a scene where the Griffindor Quidditch Team engages Dementors or some other nefarious flying species in an epic battle above the castle.

A thousand pardons. You're absolutely right, I did forget about her. I stand corrected; make that three hotties in the films, then.

Yeah, that's a nice picture of her, but she didn't look nearly that good in GoF. I stand by my statement.

Now, tell me which looks better.

[EDIT] Don't know why the pic comes in so small...

@Kensington: Lol. They really do like fucking with the movies, don't they?

QFT. Fleur was weak in the movie, yet much better looking in pretty much every other film she's done. Maybe 'cause she shows her tits outside of HP *shrug*.

And attachments always show up smaller; clicking it displays the enlarged version.

On topic: while I kinda understand the necessity for stuntpeople, I'm surprised they haven't been completely phased out by now. More and more actors are doing their own stunts, such movies typically having better cinematography. And for truly crazy shit, CGI is getting a helluva lot better. Safety concerns are always there, but I feel like accidents are much rarer and there's more set control. When you're getting paid as much as these kids are, I think they could've taken the risk; learning new skills that would make them attractive for future films while (often times) getting fit is a plus, as well.

Do you think that this is a case of the main actors chose not to do their own stunts, or WB not giving them the option ?

Yeah, but you can always replace a stunt double, Blaise. It'd be a little bit difficult to continue filming if Radcliffe were the one in the hospital right now.

Dunno about whose choice it was, but doing one's own stunts can be exceptionally dangerous, and I doubt most actors who don't consider themselves "action" stars are all that into it. Of course, I could be wrong.

I remember the Bourne Supremacy DVD extras went over how Matt Damon performed the stunt where he jumped from one building top, into a window on the adjacent building, and all that went into the cameraman following along on the jump. Absolutely great, and that was before the kick-ass and gritty fight scene with the younger assassin/agent.

I agree that lots of actors are doing their own stunts nowadays, but I'm sure there will always be plenty of work for stunt doubles and the like, that is until all our movies are completely CGI and we watch them via the chips implanted in our brains. You guys all have that chip too, right?

Not sure why this is even news. Stunt people get hurt. They get paid to take risks and even get injured.
