I didn't like this one too much. I thought it was boring. It started off like Heroes, then it ran into 24, and ended with Lost. Now I think they're going to steal from Prison Break next.

And what the hell is up with Nathan?

Look at the name, it should be obvious.
That was an absolute joke. It was just the show's attempt at creating a dramatic moment while sacrificing logic. Peter made reference to the fact that he could fly, earlier in the episode, and now all of a sudden he is in a life/death situation holding on. Just a terrible and lazy job by the writers.

Sylar's badassery continues to impress me. I have said it before, and I will say it again: I would not watch this show without Sylar.

If you exclude Hiro/Ando and some of Parkman, I liked this episode, a lot. I'm actually excited for a Heroes episode next week, after I don't know how long. If they actually going to hunt some of the characters with the Hunter (I can't say or type the actor's name) taking the lead, it has a chance to e awesome. I'm cautiously optimistic about the upcoming episodes.

This episode was a welcome change from the shit fest that was the last season. Even though claire was still pissing me off a bit... everyone else was kinda awesome. And why was Angella so unsleuthy. Either thats was her plan or the writers are starting to butcher her character.

I liked that ando said he was through with hiro but still took the bike.

Sylar was surprisingly complex and a pleasure to watch. Though The fall out bit with his first scene kind of had me expecting a scruffy dog to pop out to become the old mans companion.

Parkman and his don't use your superpowers rule had me wtfing. That was an annoying cliche decades ago during saturday mornign cartoons. Now its just ridiculous. If I had superspeed I'd get a delivery job and be done in the first ten minutes of the day.

Though I am interested in the whole prophet angle. I have a feeling they may tie in the symbol with the painters somehow.

I really enjoyed the whole discussion aspect of the show where they were talkign about whether it was right what nathan was plannign to do with the heroes.

This whole storyline is where the story should have went after the first season.

I'll admit that the part were Peter was getting sucked out of the plane would have been much more epic if he couldn't fly, but that wasn't my biggest problem with the episode.

The fact that Hiro was pushing Ando into doing 'superhero' work (and wearing that outfit) was very irritating. Is it just me, or is he becoming more preoccupied with the whole comic book thing? I mean he really liked them before and kinda adopted the whole 'save the planet' kick from what he read, but this is getting out of control. As Ando pointed out, he is pretty much worthless without another person with powers for him to charge up. I mean, what is he going to do to a potential law breaker? Show them his lightning-hand trick and hope they get scared?

Another thing, where did Parkman get the ability to draw the future? There was some discussion about this before, but all the theories revolved around the fact that the African guy was there with him. Did the power stick, or is it a perk of being a 'prophet'?

I think the African guy imprinted something on him, at least that's my theory. That thing he ate might have done something. Also I think Ando's power has another side to it, remember Future Ando does kill Hiro with it. It must do something other than just a jump-start to powers. Sylar made the episode. He was the only one who used his powers the proper way and escape. The freeze bitch could of just freezed the guys face off.

Peter's an empath (though he seems to have turned into Rogue of late). It's not in his nature to just let go when there may be something he can do in order to save everyone else on the plane. Also, there's no guarantee he won't hit his head, be knocked unconscious and fall to his death, despite his ability to fly. There's no guarantee that he'll have any reliable control over that ability with the wind shear and turbulence caused by the plane's rapid descent in time to save his ass.

Super strength only gets you so far when the shit you're holding onto is slowly tearing away from its support under the strain. Super strength only gets you so far when you have absolutely zero leverage to work with.

Remember, all of Peter's powers were sucked out of him by his father, and the injection of the formula he took seems to have fundamentally altered his ability. At first, he only had to be near someone to gain access to their powers; now, he seems to require physical contact (as is evidenced by the glimmery touchy-feely moment where he held Mohinder's and then Tracy's hands). There's been no indication that he's absorbed Claire like that, so it's safe to assume he doesn't have her ability to heal through anything anymore.

All in all, a much, much better season so far than the last one was. As someone else put it, a refreshing change from the shit fest of the "Villains" arc. Sure, it got a bit better towards the end of the entire fiasco, but I prefer to look at it as more of a kneejerk "those motherfuckers are going to shitcan us if we don't pull something out of our asses to keep the viewers happy" than any particular creativity on the part of the writers.

Looking forward to the next episode. This one, I may actually watch on TV while it's being broadcast.

You guys missed something that happened in this episode.

After he took the freezing power off that lady, he punched an agent in the face and it didn't do anymore than a normal, run of the mill punch. I think he even hurt his hand doing it.

Seems to me that Peter can only hold onto one power at a time now, unlike before. When he took the super-strength, he lost the ability to fly. When he took the freezing power, he lost his super-strength.

A decent idea to make Peter less powerful, but I preferred it before when he stood a decent chance against Sylar.

Peter got Nathans power at the end of volume 3 in his usual way. I reckon he needed contact because he was drugged up and didn't have the energy.

I really hope Sylar becomes some sort of kick ass anti-hero cause its clear Peter is never going to amount to anything.

At the end of volume 3, Peter got Nathan's power during the run to the window (the usual way or maybe he had time to touch Nathan), but some people say that he got Flint's power too because he didn't got hurt by the flames.

It seems to me that he absorb people's power with touch but can hold one per moment and don't need to absorb the same people twice (in the end of the episode he touched Mohinder again and there was no lights).

Maybe he needs to learn control with Claude (the invisible man) again...

Or it could just be that he has to consciously absorb them now.

He didn't want the freezing power, though. He wanted the strength to break free. So I don't think it's like that.

That. And Peter seriously needs to be shot in the face. He fell for the same bullshit "give-me-a-hug" move that his father stole his powers with, even after he obviously suspected that someone was with Nathan.

Can't Sylar just kill all these people now?

This episode was kind of the pits. Way to fall for the same trick again Peter, you bloody douche. Ugh. Go back to Gilmore Girls.

As for Parkman (who I loathe) and the awesome African guy with the kick a accent. I'm betting Africa did Spock's vulcan mind-meld and imprinted his memories and powers.

Speaking of Spock, Sylar = young Spock = wtf. Though Sylar earns points for being the only Hero not to suck.

Too right. If nothing else, the downward spiral of the show's plot seems to have halted.

Hiro got his powers stolen by Arthur Petrelli but didn't inject himself with super sauce afterward like Peter did. But, yeah, kind of lame. Then again, time travel is just too good for them to keep not using it (unless there's a good excuse not to) and now no one has it, unless Ando juices up Daphne, and that's not exactly the laser-guided time travel Hiro could do.

As for why Peter was hanging on for dear life...
Part of it may have been panic.

Maybe he was afraid he couldn't keep up with the plane if he flew.

If he loses the plane, he loses his chance to help those still on it.

Sure, he can fly, but what if he'd hit the sides as he got sucked out? Flying isn't much good when you've been knocked unconscious, and we all know that Claire's healing isn't much good if Peter falls on a branch or some shit and pierces his brain... or gets it turned to porridge in the fall.

Then again... artificial drama... yeah. And Peter is still holding the idiot ball.

By the way, how pissed must li'l 'Claire-bear' be at BOTH her dads right now? lulz. So far she has two moms that seem to be pretty righteously decent, compared to her deadbeat biological father who is dead set on locking up everyone like her. Then there's her foster father who... well, who has done boatloads of shit to piss her off. Heh.

And now it's time for Heroes theater:

    "Hey Pete?"

    "Yeah Nate?"

"Have you taken your stupid pills yet today?"

    "I'm here, aren't I?"

"Good point... So, I've just told you I'm rounding up all the supers, including a number of people who are either friends or family."

    "Yeah."

"We've established we're not on the same side."

    "Sounds about right."

"And I'm certainly not inclined to change my mind any time soon."

    "Not likely, no."

"So... How about I ask you for a brotherly hug in a menacing tone with a hateful glower on my face? I promise to neither literally, nor figuratively stab you in the back. Sound good?"

"Boy, does it ever! Get your arms ready, bro, 'cause you're gettin' super-hugged."

    ZzZzZaaaAAT!

    "B-Bro..." *thud*

"What a fucking dork... Bag him and tag him, guys. Don't scuff the Petrelli family jewels, though, those boys are golden."

    "What about his head, boss?"

"There's nothing you can hurt in there."

"Ain't it hard to breath with that bag over his head? What about oxygen deprivation, won't that damage his brain?"

"Honestly, I don't see that changing things much for him."

    "Right-o, boss."

"Call me... Lord Petrelli. I am all about the greater good up in this bitch!"

    "Sure thing, my Lord."

"I'm gonna go bang me a Dixie Chick."
