The purpose of the topic was to discuss a "safe" and unoffensive term to call asians, was it not? I merely stated I'd call an Asian "asian", and that if they find that offensive, too bad. It's not an offensive term, and has never been commonly used in widespread "hate speech".

The fact is, most of us have agreed that asians is the best term to use.

Well, the quickest way to a punch in the face is use of the word "Tojo" for Japanese. It was used in WWII as a blanket term because of their PM (I think...) Tojo Hideki.

More racist terms, yay!: Gook, Zipper-head, Charlie (Dunno about this one, my grandad did a tour in 'Nam and he has flashbacks, but Charlie could be code for enemy. *shrug*)
