I love how easy it was to stop Naruto though. He could of just done that in the first place. A quick "Come over here" Scorpion style jutsu, and throw him to the absorbing guy. Nah I don't think Kyubi will come into play until he uses that last clone, and Ma and Pa do the illusion. When that idea goes to the shitter then Kyubi will come in.

I also don't know how much credit I would take if a slug told me "don't interfere". Hokage slug or not.

 

I was surprised Kishi was showing Hinata's reaction. I had assumed he had forgotten about her.

The fight was stupid though. I don't get how several seconds of holding Naruto was all it took to knock him out, or why Naruto let something like that happen. He should have reacted the moment arms were coming around to grab him.

 

If that ending doesn't turn out to be an illusion, this is even more retarded than usual. Oh, and if Hinata saves the day I will RAGE

If that was Naru/Hina foreshadowing then there was Naru/shika foreshadowing in 432 when basically the same thing happened.

Before the end of this fight all of the rookie 8 will say they will help only for an adult to explain to them how inadequate they are compared to Naruto.

No one is going to help Naruto in this fight. Kishi is doing these asides, so that people don't flood him with questions on why everyone in the village just stood around the entire fight.

One thing that always bugged me about fights like this is that no one tries to sneak in when the enemy is distracted and kill the fucker before he can finish his evil monologue (tm) that is required by union bylaws after the defeat of any major character.

I mean, you have this 'hungry' Pein immobilized while he's holding onto Naruto, obviously distracted. Is it really that unreasonable to stab the fucker in the back when he's busy with Naruto? It may be fast, but even his technique should take like 3 or 4 seconds, an eternity to ninja who can shushin in an eyeblink. And hell, even if the technique went through and hurt Naruto, we know he can regenerate it, right?

Fuck, it's just another Deus Ex ability- you can't have the main baddy in retreat until Sasuke comes in, sees the mess that Konoha is in now, and is magically redeemed and turns against Pein, defeating him with a Sharingay rank XVII ability, right? And is welcomed back with loving arms and gay buttsex from his harem, consisting of Naruto, Kakashi, Shika, and every other male character in the cast?

FAIL, Kishi, FAIL.

I don't know why I even bother anymore.

 

I for one am tired of people bitching like this. It was established very early in the manga that ninja stuff like assassination wasn't going to play much of a role unless you have an uber assassination move like Raikiri. In case you missed it, Pain just beat the tar out of an entire ninja village for like fifteen chapters.

If Shikaku tells you that you're too weak to help against a guy like Pain, then that's the way it is. Anyone running in to help now who isn't Ma or Pa is just going to get punted out of the village like the toads were.

Actually, that would be the best thing that Kishimoto could do right now - have some scrub jump in to help and let Deva snap his neck.


And Sasuke had better not be showing his useless face in this arc. The next time I see him I want Madara to be shoving that stupid tentacle up his pasty ass.

As far as Naruto/Sasuke goes, wouldn't it have been so much better if Kishimoto had just made Fem!Sasuke? It would explain everything and remove all of the creepy manloving vibes from the story.

Yeah, either Fem!Naruto or Fem!Sasuke probably would've been better in the long run. That way I don't get covers of them wearing friendship necklaces or holding fucking hands and feel like I'm reading a borderline slash manga.

 

Well you can't do fem!Naruto since I'm pretty sure you can't have a main female protagonist in a shounen manga, but yeah.

 

Dont forget that Itachi left some of his power in Naruto.

 

That is reserved for the sasuke/naruto fight.

 

The idea of a female character with Sasuke's level of power/importance/development is probably completely alien to Kishimoto
