Absorbing Pein strengthens his hold on Naruto and comes to steal his chakra.

Fukasaku: Persevere Naruto-chan!
Naruto: (Hmm... I get it... then... it works out well that I can't move.)

He closes his eyes, chakra gets sucked up and when Naruto doesn't move, Absorbing Pein's face starts to become frog-like.

Nagato: !?
Naruto: Natural Energy (chakra) is difficult to handle!

Absorbing Pein's leg and face become a frog.

Nagato: This...

Fukasaku observes this (I see! That Pein was absorbing too much of Naruto-chan's Senjutsu chakra and had turned into the [frog-stone]!)

He tries to punch Nagato, but Nagato swings the sword that stabbed Fukasaku, Fukasaku is thrown off the sword and towards Naruto.

Nagato raises his left hand, does his drawing-objects-toward-him jutsu.

When Naruto's movements stop, Nagato grabs Naruto's neck. Naruto drops Fukasaku. Nagato slams Naruto to the ground.
Naruto: Gua!

When slamming him down, Nagato stabs Naruto's left hand with his sword. The rinnegan appears 'behind' Naruto (we have seen this a couple times before - Jiraiya, Kakashi)

Nagato: will you settle down a bit now, Kyuubi?
Naruto: Ggg..

Fukasaku is down. Shima is crying.

Naruto: What the hell are you!!? What the hell do you want!!? Why do you do this!!?
Nagato: Why... Everything happens all of a sudden. The reasons you realize after the events have passed. I see... let's chat a bit...

Scene to Shikamaru

Shikamaru: Gather information via Katsuyu from all the people that have come in contact with Pein. Those that have passed away may have also left some information. We'll carry out dead bodies if we have to!

Yeah I liked Shizune too, but oh well. I doubt Pa is dead though. That slug in Naruto's pocket had to be for something. I know Tsunade is weak but how hard can it be to heal a frog?

 

How hard is it to harness your spiritual and physical energies, combine them into a mystical energy source, then, with near perfect control, use said mystical energy source to hyper-stimulate the cell replication of an 800 year old amphibian, whose physiology (beyond the basics) is no doubt a mystery?

I actually didn't like Shizune. Ever since she snitched on Naruto and Tsunade to the old farts, I've harbored a dislike for her character.

 

I'm not saying it's easy but she healed nearly everyone that was fighting, it would seem easier to heal a tiny old toad. If she can heal half a village I'm sure she can heal a frog.

The anatomy of a frog doesn't matter, her healing is based of cell reproduction. She basically needs to target the destroyed area and focus chakra to get the cells in that area to hyper-reproduce. I don't see it as such a great issue. The only thing that could set her back is she looked half-dead last time we saw her.

Besides you can't have a Ma without a Pa, that would just be gay.

 

Or fodder for very bad fangirl smut.

 

They finally realised that the bodies all link back to pain took em long enough (at least that's my theory). Two skills that would win Naruto this fight against Pein, Kawirimi and Bunshin Daibakuha (Exploding Clone) and he knows both but he as always decided to be a dumb cunt.

My vendetta against Kishimoto grows it was all good when he killed Jiraiya even though I was very sad, then he knocks off Kakashi who was awesome but I understood the need, but why Shizune, she was cool...ish. And now he gives us an epic speech of doom.

In the meantime WHY THE FUCK IS SASUKE STILL ALIVE? Please tell me he's going to trip going down the stairs, his sharingan will compensate and he'll try to do a wicked flip using his hands to land safely on his feet but he'll forget that his hands are covered in Madara's love juice and will not get any grip, slip and break his neck. That would make me happy even if the story was shit.
